Bluey is amazing.

The entire premise of the show is having a child, filled with the wonderment and magic of youth, playing with her dad.

And her dad, no matter what, always plays along, often begrudgingly.

Moms are moms, dads are dads. Kids are kids. and that's it.

It's a great show.

This is well put.

My daughter is right at that age where's she's transitioning out of shows like Bluey into more adolescent show....sadly.

But, she still watches this one in the morning while getting ready for school and sometimes just for entertainment on the weekends. It's just a plain, old fashioned show with humor, sometimes deep thoughts and lessons for kids, and it even is a bit entertaining for parents as the parental characters across all the kids are relatable to REAL LIFE.

They're beginning to oaf-ify the dad a bit in season 3 and I don't like it.

I think his curry quest episode, the Unicorse episode, and the episode where he pretends to be a French cook to get Bingo to try something new were fantastic.

I randomly watched one with my nephew and it was when the dad acted as a claw/toy machine, and he made the kids go clean so they could earn 10 cents to put in the machine, and he kept dropping the toys. Not sure why I found that so hilarious.

My wife and I quote this episode all the time:

"The Claw has no children. His days are free and easy."

My kids are getting a bit older but still watch Bluey. Great show. Never have to worry about what they are watching like with so many other shows. I don't watch a ton of it but usually find myself watching a couple episodes per week.

I have to be honest...its actually a bit motivating for me to be more engaged with my kids so a positive for both kids and parents....

Bluey is terrific. It seems like the third season directed the attention toward their parent demographic even more than before.

there is a ton of truth in that.

my oldest turned 9 yesterday.

3 days ago, it seems, she was 3.

Exactly. Mine are 15, 11, and 3. And just yesterday they were all tiny and napping on my chest on the couch. Now, at least for the oldest, we're discussing college, driving, and jobs. I wish there was a pause button

There was a dad group thread on bluey a while back. (might have been here, I can't remember) and it help me a lot. The TLDR of the thread was a bunch of dads lamenting that between work and chores and everything else, we never seem to have the same amount of time as a cartoon dog dad does to spend with their kids. Lots of "Cats in the Cradle" playing in the background of the whole thread.

We'd never get anything done if we played all day with our kids like it appears bandit & chili do, but at the same time noticing we should balance things out as best we can.

And the resident Pater familias of the group chimed in saying "you can't be like that all day. Its impossible. Your house would be a wreck, you'd get fired, and you would be failing your basic responsibility of providing for your kids.

That said....remember that Bluey is like a 9 minute episode. If you find yourself being pulled between adult responsibilities and chores and work and your child begging for attention, give them at least the same 9 minutes. Set timers if you have to. Play the silly pretend game. Romp around like a horse. Go all out for your kids. It's ok. They'll be ok. What isn't ok is wishing in 20 years that you spent more time with them as little ones. If you can do that, you'll be doing a pretty darn good job."

Having a Toddler, Bluey is on 80% of the time she actually sits to watch TV. (She's a Muffin, IYKYK). I find my self watching it by myself everyone a bad again. Great show and a few episodes really hit deep.

Completely agree. Big big fans at our house.

theoretically

1. Use a VPN to hide your app and to give your ISP plausible deniability
2. Install qbittorrent
3. go to torrent search engine , search for "bluey"
4. clock on torrents to start downloading.
5. surf porn while waiting
6. watch bluey on favorite media app (e.g., VLC) when done.

I love watching Bluey especially with my grandkids. They always dance when the intro music starts and I love that there is usually a wholesome moral to the story.

I'll admit, I usually have closed caption on because I find I miss some of the words due to their accents and my hearing.

I'll also admit that when I'm home alone and really missing my grandkids, I may turn an episode on just to make me feel better.

This show makes me hit the waterworks on many occasions.

My sons and I watched "Sleepytime" for the first time only a week or 2 after my mom passed away and it destroyed me. So well done.

As a father of 4 young kids… am I the only one who think the pups are kind of rude/demanding? My wife feels the same way, but maybe we're over thinking it. It's a fun show and WAY better than 99% of the stuff out there, but it doesn't fully sit right. Too much of the kids running the show and telling the parents what to do. Maybe we just suck (haha or tears)

I get what you are saying but in general it is one of the few shows with a nuclear family including a dad that plays with kids. No inappropriate / suggestive material, etc. Not perfect but hard to beat.
