Good shot with unmagnified optics on top of that, looked to be an open shot with not much around so minimal chance of hitting a civilian
You'll notice with how he preps for his shot that he's practicing the "slow is smooth, smooth is fast" mantra. Managing his heart rate, efficient / value added movement only, etc. Dude was mentally setting up well before he shouldered the rifle. Probably well before he chose where to stop his suv.Stupe said:
That wasn't luck. That was skill.

1. Great shot.
2. Not exactly thrilled he was shooting at those distances in a neighborhood.
That is luck...op_06 said:
His pistol shot ricocheted before striking the subject.
And if his red dot was 2 MOA, the dot would only be about 3.5" across at that target distance and ~5.5" if it's a 3 MOA sight. With the dot easily fitting within the target silhouette, any modestly trained individual with good eyesight (no astigmatism or Lasik artifacts) could be comfortable taking that shot.SMM48 said:
His zero is point of aim point of impact out to 300 yards. No more than 3 inches up or down out to 300. Put it on the body. Send it.
Yes you have to train to have that confidence with your weapon.
I hadn't noticed that until I you posted that. Good catch.Get Off My Lawn said:You'll notice with how he preps for his shot that he's practicing the "slow is smooth, smooth is fast" mantra. Or just not talk about firearms.AggieMD95 said:
Calling that shot luck is ridiculous. Maybe for some of us but not that skilled officer
Whoever called that luck should apologize

Funny that the NRA tweeted this as if they trained him.
By the looks of his kit and performance, this dude doesn't waste his time with NRA classes.
