Honestly - I have disdain for much of Europe. They inherited so very much, at great cost of their ancestors, and what've they done with it? Foolishly squandered it to live in comfortable mediocrity. They were given the easiest part of the race and just abandoned the torch to go sleep in the shade of monuments built by far better men.

I think this is behind most of the tourism dynamics: the locals are merely stewards of a legacy and resent their lot in life - as they 'serve' an unending parade of useful people who briefly wander through their towns with eyes that look past them to seek out inanimate objects that are far more interesting than the live residents.

The guy they're arresting is allegedly an agent of the Iranian government tasked with spying on dissidents abroad. The people kicking his ass are protesters angry over the death of Mahsa Amini. They apparently found him out and weren't too happy about it

I believe London is around 43% white. The countrysides are still very white but the cities are not, I believe Birmingham is right at 40%

There are protests going on outside Iranian embassies in Europe right now over the death of Mahsa Amini. She died in custody after being arrested by Iran's morality police for not wearing her hijab correctly. They say she died of a heart attack, but she was in her mid -twenties and in excellent health before being violently arrested.

Now there are riots and protests all over Iran and at Iranian embassies by Iranians and others living abroad. This was one of them, and the guy the crowd is chasing down is apparently some kind of spook. The cops were trying to get him away and may have been arresting him under the auspices of being part of a counterprotest.


TLDR All those people are protesting the Islamists in Iran and Iranian theocracy.

When you look at it, we have been fairly lucky with immigration. Hispanics are good people, they assimilate fairly well until we decided to literally let them come in unchecked.

The problem with our immigration to is it hasn't been monitored. We've gotten most of the ne'er do wells from Central America that Mexico said "haha I don't think so, keep heading north" and pushed their criminal immigration problem on to us. They love keeping the best and brightest of the immigrants and sending the ones they don't want on.

Every year Texas gets dust from the Sahara desert, smoke from field burnings in Mexico and a ton of people that these countries South of us don't want.

Europe's declining birth rate made it clear that they were going to run out of workers to pay for the social programs their society was used to. To compensate they brought in immigrants to provide both short-term and long-term solutions. At the same time, many of its countries watched their manufacturing jobs either move to Asia or disappear. So where those new immigrants are supposed to work is increasingly a problem. And, really, same goes for the natives who aren't college educated and who would have gone into a traditional apprenticeship or vocational program.

Yep. I can levy similar complaints about my own countrymen - but it boils down to selfishness. As peoples they have decided to maximize their own enjoyment & perceived quality of life rather than advancing their civilization. Thus: disdain.
