Big oil did it to spike natural gas prices.

No. It seems that Putin did it in order to increase gas prices, his theory being the more pressure he puts on the Europeans regarding energy security this winter, the more likely they are to give in. Europe is moving away from Russian gas regardless of what happens, so these two pipelines were going to be excess capacity (whatever gas Europe buys from Russia in the future can be accommodated in other lines). Sacrificing them in order to ratchet up the pressure is just the latest gamble by Putin.

It seems reasonable that someone wants to inflict maximum pain on Europe and to possibly ignite WWIII in Europe by spreading the Russia - Ukraine conflict. I really do not see how that would benefit the U.S., but Brandon and his Admin do not have the U.S. Best Interest at heart. So maybe we did it.

It looks like they're feeding the pipeline leaks. Maybe to prevent salt water intrusion? If so Germany will be bleeding down their recently built reserves and prices will go to the moon.

If that thesis is correct, Russia would be in a very lucrative negotiating position to offer to feed the leaks from their side.

It benefits the US because the EU would become fully dependent on American energy, food, and commodities.

Somehow our model is to make our friends weak so we can be strong.

For the operation we used the Nazis who were previously running our bio-weapons labs in Ukraine since they were at loose ends.

The US selling more gas to Europe is certainly a benefit to the US resulting from the invasion. Without it, Europe would have happily kept buying Russian gas. Now, however, regardless of the outcome in Ukraine, Europe is going to diversify its energy sources and not leave itself so vulnerable to Russian blackmail. The US didn't need to engage in sabotage to do this, particularly of two pipelines that had been delivering no (in the case of Nordstream 2) or very little (in the case of Nordstream 1) gas to Europe of late.

This was also intended to make Norway and Poland nervous, as the recently opened pipeline between these two countries runs in close proximity to the Nordstream lines.

The movie about all of this is going to be incredible!!

Better yet, maybe Lin Manuel Miranda will live long enough to write a broadway musical about it except all the main characters can be represented by transsexuals.

Regardless of who did this, there is no doubt this is a complete pipe rupture, not a seam split leak. The volume of NG rapidly pushing to the surface indicates a complete shear of the pipe. Some have speculated poor design, I call BS.

Pepaw wouldn't know the difference between a Nordstream pipeline and one of Hunter's crack pipes. He's not in charge of anything anyway.
