A Spectrum News/Sienna College poll of likely Wisconsin voters, conducted Sept. 14-15 with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points, found that when deciding which candidate to vote for this fall, "threats to the democracy" was the first or second choice to 40% of likely Democratic voters in the state, while 30% listed it as their top issue.

It always seems to come back to the only explanation that makes sense is they believe what educators and news tell them to, and just run with that. For example, no independent observation could conclude that it whites beating up Asians most often in urban incidents.

No independent thought would have ignored-- -as Chris Wallace did -- the massive Left rioting in Portland/Seattle and instead focused on "white supremacy" for Trump to denounce at a debate.

That's not the kind of thought that comes from observing things with an independent mind.

Oh, I agree, but with regards to our republic since we are not a democracy. That is my number one issue as well.

Threats like:

• Installing an inept, dementia-addled, president controlled by an unelected, shadow government
• Weaponized alphabet agencies
• Corupt/complicit media
• Unchecked and corrupt elites who are allowed to enrich themselves at the cost of the citizens with no consequences
• Uneven justice
• Out of control borders
• Out of control crime

The list could go on, but yes, I am absolutely basing my vote on threats.

'Threat to our democracy' is really 'Threat to our tyrannical rule'.

It is amazing. I have a relative (through marriage) that told me several months ago that he thought Biden was a terrible president but he was still glad he voted for him because had Trump won a second term, and could get away with it, mass deportations of hispanics would begin. And yes, he specifically meant legal US citizens. Trump hates brown people, all of them. I didn't even bother mustering a 30 second rebuttal. Would be pointless.

EXACTLY. Hence the common denominator is they either just believe the news they see or are "higher educated [indoctrinated now]" and just go with it.

Too many of the agendas and thoughts could not come from just thinking for oneself. They are too counter-intuitive.

Its why the Media more than most cannot be lambasted too much.

It's their justification for all the illegal voting. 'They had to do it to protect the country.' Prepare yourselves. More than 81 mil votes in 2024. In fact, I'll predict record setting voter turnout out in every contested race at congressional and senate levels.

Lots and lots of stupid people out there who think the Dem Party is benevolent.

In a way, I actually look at this poll as good news. I don't think J6 or 'threats to democracy' is has near the mobilizing effect on Dem voters as something like abortion does.
