While I agree, the way to do that is not to sit out this particular election and allow the fake Hispanic to weasel his way into office. Not saying you are implying that. Vote for Abbott and then find a better conservative candidate for the next go-round.

I hope both Abbott and Beto have record low turnout.
I also hope Abbott wins.
Yes, I will be voting and no I will not be voting for Beto or any D for that matter.

The only way we stop getting establishment candidates is if people stop voting for them in mass. If you are so concerned about Beto, why not have discussions with your lefty peers about why they are voting for Beto instead of being afraid and using them as an excuse to keep voting for the lesser of two evils in Abbott?

I can't speak for him, but a lot of people have been complaining about the establishment going back several election cycles. Obviously this includes the recent primary where of people balked at any outsider and chose to stick with Abbott solely because either he's done it before, he has the best shot against Beto, and/or the challengers did not meet some high standard. All fine reasons for short term wins, but terrible for long term breaking away from the establishment.

That Beto gets 38% of the vote is a monument to human stupidity.

Or an influx of out of staters.

We had choices back on March 1 with Don Huffines and Allan West and Chad Prather but they lost so get over it and I voted for Don Huffines and I'm over it

yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it. but we are less than 5 weeks away from early voting starting.. a little more than 6 weeks from a critical election. Prather can sing a sad country song about it, but he isn't an option anymore. Now is not the time to ***** about it. Defeating fake mexican real pandejo is critical.

I don't think any of them actually wanted to be governor. They should had come together as a group and identified one person to run against Abbott. They were not serious.

I'm not complaining about the supposed criticality of beating Beto even though I want him to lose. I'm also not complaining about Abbott likely winning the general as I do want that.

My only complaint is that people have blinders for beating Beto that they do not see the long term consequences of continuing to vote for establishment types.

Abbott is truly one of the luckiest politicians in the country. Thanks to Biden's awful policies and Beto acting like a child, all he has to do is point to the busing of illegals and showing clips of Beto in his own words. He doesn't even have to touch on his record. Overall I think he's a poor leader, but he's going to look like Reagan in the current political climate.
