I am going to guess that the Cruise Ship Company is going to send their oldest most decrepit ship to use as the "NYC Illegals Hotel" and then eventually claim massive damages to the ship by the Illegals and that NYC will end up paying for a complete refurbishment of the ship. All of it done with repurposed Covid Emergency Funds from the Fed Govt. All of it already agreed to along with a very nice contribution to the Dem Party by the Cruise Line.

Can the cruise ship drop them off in El Salvador?

(I know they're not all from El Salvador, just suggesting dropping them off a few countries away.)
Check out the link I posted supra about their usual ports of call. They could drop them off in Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama, Curacao, Puerto Rico, etc.

I did Nazi that coming.

Remember when the Nazis sent the Jews on a ship? Good company the Mayor is keeping.
Remember when the US wouldn't let in Anne Franks family as they sought refuge from the Germans? Senator Reynolds's from NC had it right at that time when he wanted to build a wall so high that no more immigrants would be allowed in (especially the Jews). Can't understand why we can't figure out some place in between open borders and complete isolationism.

Do you understand how many people were asking for refuge at that time? I don't think you do.

Yes it's very sad what happened to Anne Frank but it happened to a lot of them and it's not America's fault. Could we have taken more in, possibly but it's not our fault that Germany and also Japan unleashed their hell on earth.

It's easy to look back and say what you should've done. News and Intel back then was not what it is today. Many Germans didn't even know The concentration camps were in their own country. Many did that so many didn't.

It wasn't like today when you have a 24 seven new cycle. In most cases it wasn't until the allies marched in and found these camps they even knew they existed.

True the other countries knew about the restrictions on the Jews that had been happening all the way through the 30s but again America cannot take in every single person that has a horrible story. It's sad but we are not responsible to fix the worlds cruelty.

From your post I can tell you don't know a hell of a lot about history and what you do now you get off of CNN.

Oh, boy! Legionnaires' disease, Covid, and Monkey Pox all wrapped up in one cruise! "Migrants" will love it.

What could go wrong?

Eric Adams is stealing my cruise ship idea, however I highly doubt he goes as far as sending them on an all paid one way vacation to Hawaii.

As New York struggles to find housing for a wave of migrants arriving in the city, Mayor Eric Adams is seriously considering housing them on cruise ships.

Mr. Adams said for the first time on Friday that the city was weighing the idea.
Quote:

"We're examining everything, from the legality of using any type of cruise ship for temporary housing," the mayor said on "The Point With Marcia Kramer," on WCBS-TV. "We're looking at everything to see how do we deal with this."

The mayor's chief of staff, Frank Carone, has spoken with leaders of Norwegian Cruise Line, a major cruise ship company, to discuss the possibility of housing asylum seekers on one of its ships, according to someone familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter. Mr. Carone stayed on one of the company's cruise ships in Normandy, France, last month, as part of the administration's research, the person said.

So, Abbott can tell them if they go to NYC, they could be housed on an all expense paid cruise ship? They'll be lining up in no time, I'd wager.

So Abbott starts with busses, then DeSantis kicks it up a notch to private charter planes, and now New York says "Hold my beer" with cruise ships?

Any way we can get on this tax payer funded trip?
It actually started with an open border policy from democrat leaders. Abbott and DeSantis simply allowed New York, DC, and Chicago the privilege of chipping in to help just like Texas, Arizona, and other states have for decades. Clever move on their part.

The added bonus is watching the mayors of these cities freak out over being faced with actually having to do what they said for cameras all those years regarding immigration policy.

What I'm looking forward to seeing is just how long it'll take for the democrats to start pushing Biden to do something about the border. He won't want to because it'll make him look weaker than he already is on the issue, and because it'll show just how smart politically it was for Abbott and Desantis to do these things. That being said, it's about time the proverbial sh*t hits the fan and permanent things get done about immigration so that an incoming administration can't undo what was done in the previous one.

You are right. How did I forget the Big Guys 10% ? ? ?

No matter what, the tax payers will be paying the Cruise ships exorbitant bills for putting up the Illegals then for the refurbishment of the ship later. The Dem Party and the Big Guy will both get a nice cut eventually.

By "for the democrats to start pushing Biden" --- do you mean Democrat voters? Because its a cinch the corrupt Pelosians and OBidens in the Hill will not. But if you mean voters that have also seen the hypocrisy (which their MSM conceals normally) I suppose that could be true and happen yet.

That sounds like deportation with extra steps.
Honestly, with how cheap cruises are, it probably would be cheaper than deporting them from NY normally. Of course, that is before government involvement.

Unfortunately I just don't see that happening. Policy can be undone. Anything done at a federal level to protect the border can be eased or moved away from with the next administration. People just need to vote on policy instead of accepting compromises with a friendly smile.
