I'm on the recruiting and interviewing team for my company and have seen glaring examples of wokeness that drive me crazy.
Issue #1
Our interview slate is not representative of the scientific graduate population at all. On average less than 20% of the interview candidates are caucasian, and less than 10% are male caucasian. Overall, ~60% are female of any ethnicity.
Issue #2
Nearly every resume I have seen emphasizes the hell out of diversity and inclusion activities. A couple of candidates that made the "must interview" list had resumes where over half of the content was diversity crap. Why should a science company care about that for technical roles?
Anyone else plagued with foolishness like this at work? I fear it's only going to get worse.
