Hard to for the US to reduce global "climate changing" emissions when China don't give a f*** about it.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/chinas-coal-power-boom-beijing-xi-jinping-climate-energy-biden-administration-11650480857?mod=hp_opin_pos_1

I want any green climate change idiot to tell me how reducing my "carbon footprint" by driving a EV will have any affect on climate change when China is building hundreds of new coal plants.

Also, have you noticed all the rich celebs who scream climate change (Leo Crapio for one) all have huge yachts, which are powered by what? Large diesel engines. Hypocrite is strong enough word for him.

This is one of many reasons why i don't take the climate hysteria seriously. If the US went to 0 emissions tomorrow, China and India would make that up in a heartbeat.

It's so arrogant of the western world to think that we can magically cure the world of all its problems all on our own.

I really don't think it's about saving the planet. I think it's about making everyone more dependant on the government to solve all our problems. All it takes is a little more money...

Super yachts are great for taking loans against.

Maybe fix the money instead, and thereby removing the incentives if owning superyachts.

Can we adjust the temperature of just that side of the planet?

Like dual zone A/C for the earth?

I bet it wouldn't be that hard to convince the smooth brains that its possible.

Let's give it a shot.

Dual zone planetary climate change.

The hot side hot and the cool side cool. Like the Mc DLT.

With the greatest military might and technology in history we coudn't stop a bunch of dudes living in caves using 30+ year old technology, but we're going to stop the world from creating the cheap energy needed to keep up with civilation?

I'll take "Stupid **** liberals didn't fully think about before opening their mouths" for $100.

Europe - it's ok if dirty energy we import is made by brown people. That's not our country.

Also Europe - look how clean we are… pats smug pale back with pale hand.

1. Sell climate change
2. Subsidize tons of wind/solar power
3. Kill all reliable power options
4. Create huge power demand by making everything electric
5. Destroy power grid and bankrupt power suppliers
6. Government take over of energy
7. Ban fertilizer under "climate change"
8. Bankrupt farms and ranches
9. Fovernment take over food supply

It has nothing to do with reducing emissions.

Its actually 174 coal mines. The number of power plants is about 290 gigawatts, according to the article.

However, much of that will probably, eventually, get cancelled the same way most development in China happens. China cancelled 630 GW, more than twice what's currently proposed or under construction, over the last decade alone.

Lol, every place that has squelched gas, coal, or nukes is going back. Coal in particular will be exploding back onto the scene in europe and asia and latin america. Probably africa too.

Peak oil was a hoax, but peak 'clean energy' (also hoax) is already past.

Our current politicians are not serious people. It gets them votes so they talk about it. Republican do the same thing.

All politicians have to do, on both sides, is convince you that the other side is the greater evil. This way the same people stay in power with as little turnover as possible. Even if they do get replaced, it's by another politician with the same parlor tricks.

We have to change the voting system to open primaries instead of closed.
That way we can vote for a different Republican(or democrat) without "wasting our vote".

The only thing I've found that the left and right can agree on is that our politicians are crooked. Then why do we all vote for the same incumbents!? Bc we don't want the "greater evil" to win, we don't want to "waste our vote".

Good times have created weak men. The next generation will have harder times and will be stronger men.

China isn't building a middle class. Last thing on their mind. This is about sourcing energy that isn't reliant on the US for safe transport.

Per Blackrock and Dem politicians, China is a "developing country". Just because they have a space station, and the worlds largest economy & military, doesn't mean they aren't "developing".

The only thing they are developing is a competitive advantage over the West, thanks to white liberals.

Your overall premise is correct but they don't have the world's largest economy nor the world's largest military unless you're just counting widgets which would make you alone in using that metric to assess force strength. US GDP is bigger than China's by half and our military is a couple of orders of magnitude more powerful than theirs. Not trying to be "that guy" and I'm all in on China is the second biggest threat we face behind the political establishment but facts are important.

A lot of this is related to China's water crisis. Think of how bad the water crisis is in the west (in the usa) and multiple it by 2.

Here is a great video on the situation. (Its been a year or so since i have watched it)

What they are doing is diverting all the water into one dam system. But this is not helping the situation. The fact is that the water lvls have gotten so low that they can't generate the hydroelectric power. They need to open up new coal plants to fill the gap and increase power for the future
