LOL! What do you think? He was against it, especially when it comes to children. He quoted what Jesus said about adults causing children to sin. He also talked about what is going on in schools regarding the subject.

Ted Cruz went to school at second baptist.

It used to be our church when we lived in Pearland, Ed Young has never been afraid to speak the truth and I'm glad he's doing it once again.

Ed Young isn't "random". I knew who he was since I was a kid and have never been a member at 2nd Baptist. That church is one of, if not the, largest Baptist churches, and one of the top 10 largest churches in the country. It's remarkable for a church of that size not to have strayed into embracing pop culture or watering down the Word for mass appeal. So many have fallen for a woke gospel in the past few years.

Interesting. Is he doing an entire series on controversial subjects? At Champion Forest they have addressed racism and abortion but nothing so far on transgenderism. I'll give the sermon a listen.

The pastor for my church was just recruited from this organization. Difference is we're in CO vs TX. I've been impressed that he seems to be teaching without watering down.

Canyon, now ya know. I am from the panhandle. Do they have youtube yet? Check the series out. The Sept 13, 2020 and weeks following is also a great series. Eric Metaxas a few weeks ago was also eye opening.

2nd Baptist is one of the most conservative churches I've been to in my life. Every pastor is very conservative and all Bible study lessons on Sunday are extremely biblically based and lean heavily socially conservative.

If the church doesn't speak out then who will?

There were a lot of people sad to lose Kurt. He's a great pastor and you are lucky to have him.
