Where the hell is the "republican" governor? The AD and the coach are state employees, this is low hanging fruit, fire both of them. Not one Governor pushes back

Well, the ***** Republican Utah Governor already groveled to the lying female dog and her racist godmother.

Which is why I'll state the following.

Last year's conspiracy theory is today's news.

Would not at all be shocked to find out this was completely staged. And why not for the left anyways? Easy, minimal, effort to take down a religious university. Plenty of useful idiots sheep to make it happen. All you have to do is make the statement, truth be damned.

It's not like this is some new concept for the left. I mean, ironically, this happened to Duke.

Yeah, great lesson for those kids on that team, right? Somebody in the stands (allegedly) called somebody on the court a bad name. "Oh noes, let's stay home because we can't handle it emotionally." Effectively the equivalent of teachers unions finding a way to get paid for not working during COVID because of safety concerns.

Lame.

This is a gross over reaction and also not remotely close to what's happening. SC isn't simply going to stay home but replace their opponents. It's completely within their right, it seems as if there are more people here who aren't affected one way or another taking it extremely emotional.

This isn't an example of any type of stupidity or fragility. One this is just a form of entertainment, womens basketball which ironically is one of the least respected things/topics in this board. Two, if they choose to not want to get lay at BYU because of BYUs fans/crowd their well within their rights. They've notified the team, made their statement and are moving on. Exactly how adults should handle business. Again the only fragility I've seen is from people online who have nothing to do with the matter.

If people are taking it emotionally, it is appropriately so. It is endemic of the culture war that is tearing this country apart.

I'm willing to give Rachel Richardson some benefit of the doubt here. I don't think this is like Juicy where she completely made up in the incident to get attention. I think in her mind racial slurs are exactly what she thought she heard. She is a victim of race hustlers like her godmother, and she just KNEW that going into the whitest white place in America of Provo that it was full of racists. And she is so entrenched in this mindset that she later falsely accuses some innocent kid approaching the team bus of making threats.

I'm not letting her off the hook. She needs to realize for herself how badly she is being manipulated by people like her godmother. If we just stand by idly while a school like USC cancels a series because of something that didn't happen, the culture war is only going to get worse.

I find it incredible in this day and age that if such an incident took place, no one in the stands heard it nor recorded any video of it.

Okay, if BYU cancels their game at Deleware State because the HBCU cannot do provide a safe environment, then that is "well within their rights"?

Since you are the last hope for honesty, do you HONESTLY believe it would be handled the same way if a predominantly white school cancelled a game at a campus at an HBCU because of violence.

Again, be honest.

https://www.ksl.com/article/50469043/south-carolina-cancels-womens-basketball-series-with-byu-over-alleged-racial-incident

"… As a head coach, my job is to do what's best for my players and staff," Staley said in a statement released by South Carolina. "The incident at BYU has led me to reevaluate our home-and-home, and I don't feel that this is the right time for us to engage in this series."

"South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner said he stood by his coach's decision"

"Dawn and I have discussed her thoughts on the situation," Tanner said in a statement. "I support Dawn and all of our coaches in their right to schedule games and opponents that are best for their teams."

///

I really dislike BYU but this is such BS.

Tanner is a wuss. Staley has bigger balls than he does ... but that doesn't make her right. She's not.

My comment on people taking it emotional was in response to poster saying people should be less emotional. Her mother isn't a race hustler just because you're emotional over her saying racist slurs were used against her. In fact your emotional and need to instantly jumping to absurd comments about her mother with no basis is the exact emotion we need less of. Just maybe racist slurs were used and maybe threats were made. Again your preconceived, absolute of what happened while investigation is ongoing shows you don't have an objective perspective of the matter, which is certainly your right. What you or anyone not directly related to the matter finds incredible has absolutely no bearing on her allegation.

Citing "not privy to their contract" and then dodging by saying you are not discussing hypotheticals is KJP worthy intellectual dishonesty.

If BYU cancelled games at Delaware State due to the news below and cited "unsafe campus" and "string of violence", and the media said BYU was afraid to play at HBCUs, would you defend BYUs freedom of choice.

Sorry but I can't attempt to speak for other individuals, groups, or organizations. I'm also not sure what you're referring in terms of media. There's nothing out of the norm from the media here, they reported on a sports story. BYU has been reported on before so it's safe to assume they'd continue to be reported on if necessary. I'm not defending anyone but if BYU did that it's in their right to do on the outside looking again. Again not privy to the actual agreements or contracts.
