People have become such pansies
Jackie Robinson went through hell for people to quit
Yeah, great lesson for those kids on that team, right? Somebody in the stands (allegedly) called somebody on the court a bad name. "Oh noes, let's stay home because we can't handle it emotionally." Effectively the equivalent of teachers unions finding a way to get paid for not working during COVID because of safety concerns.
Lame.
This is a gross over reaction and also not remotely close to what's happening. SC isn't simply going to stay home but replace their opponents. It's completely within their right, it seems as if there are more people here who aren't affected one way or another taking it extremely emotional.
If people are taking it emotionally, it is appropriately so. It is endemic of the culture war that is tearing this country apart.
I'm willing to give Rachel Richardson some benefit of the doubt here. I don't think this is like Juicy where she completely made up in the incident to get attention. I think in her mind racial slurs are exactly what she thought she heard. She is a victim of race hustlers like her godmother, and she just KNEW that going into the whitest white place in America of Provo that it was full of racists. And she is so entrenched in this mindset that she later falsely accuses some innocent kid approaching the team bus of making threats.
I'm not letting her off the hook. She needs to realize for herself how badly she is being manipulated by people like her godmother. If we just stand by idly while a school like USC cancels a series because of something that didn't happen, the culture war is only going to get worse.
I find it incredible in this day and age that if such an incident took place, no one in the stands heard it nor recorded any video of it.
