Folder covers! No information contained within. Well, at least a some amount of them were.

There is no defending their kabukli theater at this point. Try as the CSPPF may.

Good job FBI. We all feel safe now. They also did indeed take the Time magazines.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/09/02/trump-classified-documents-judge-releases-list-seized-documents/7971509001/

"Here's what was recovered in the search:

Overall, the list described 31 confidential documents, 54 "secret" documents and 11 "top secret."
48 empty folders with classified banners
42 folders marked "return to staff secretary/military aide"
More than 11,000 government documents or pictures without classification markings
Nearly 1,673 magazines, newspapers or press clippings
19 articles of clothing or gift items
33 books"

Everything redacted in white in that photo are presumably not cover pages. Box 2 had 24 documents marked classified to some level, as well as 69 other government documents not market classified to some level.

Yes, there were also 43 empty folders with "classified" written on them.

Yes, there were also more framed magazines, mementos, presidential big mac wrappers, and such.

Go read what the judge just released before you comment.

And there is a debate on whether they are personal and presidential. Even Bill Barr is wrong on this one.

If every single thing touched by the president is a presidential record, I assume the Biden Presidential Diaper Museum in Scranton should be on everyone's vacation agenda.

The fact that they took his passports and priveldged communications of no concern.

What's funny is that the person taking that photo has likely violated federal law in making illegal copies of some of them.

Hold up. So now they claim that this was all Trump's personal records? That is not what was claimed in the court filings. I am not talking about passports or documents between he and his personal attorney.

What is the argument that these are personal records: 31 confidential documents, 54 "secret" documents and 11 "top secret."

Just to clarify, (U) unclassified is a classification marking, too...

I don't think it works that way. But in emails and any documents you keep that you ever wanted to claim as privileged, it would be prudent to denote in the email or on the document as such.

I run a couple of small businesses. My notebook is noted as privileged and confidential. Any documents I may remotely think are privileged are kept in a separate folder, no matter how ridiculous it may seem.

Bill Barr is a real disappointment.

One question for all. Who packed these boxes? Where was Trumps lawyers in December of 12/20? Where were government lawyers and the museum gurus telling Trump "packers" of what he could take. Certainly not the silverware and furniture that Hillary took. My God this is stupid and government corruption before our very eyes.

Does anybody, who is credible, think that Trump personally wanted to give this "classified" information to an enemy?????

One weird thing about this is, its not even been hinted at as to why Trump took them. Not saying it was wrong, just curious if they had dirt on the SpyGate cabal that ran the 2017-2020 `palace coup'. And why not just photograph them and leave the originals?

Maybe it was to write memoirs. Its interesting there seems little interest in whether the documents implicate the Biden and alphabet cabal, which seems perhaps the most likely.

No, I got your joke. Was more pointing out it is indeed wise to "classify" your own stuff in your office and at home. Your satire indeed points out the absurdity of all of this with Trump Docugate.

That's what John Ratcliffe thinks.

https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2022/09/01/ratcliffe-feds-didnt-find-what-they-were-looking-for-in-mar-a-lago-raid/

Quote:

"The judge would appoint the special master, and it would be an extension of the court," Ratcliffe explained. "I do think that it's the right thing to do. The DOJ's position is number one. We don't need a special master. We've already we've already sorted everything and looked at everything. Take our word for it that it was done. As you pointed out, they had attorney-client privilege in there, so the taint team that was looking at this didn't do their job."

"And, you know, all of this, listen, you presided over a lot of cases," he continued. "I was a former federal prosecutor, United States attorney. Let me tell you what this is about. Good prosecutors with good cases play it straight. They don't need to play games. They don't need to shop for judges, they don't need to leak intelligence that may or may not exist. And in this case, this tells you that the government didn't find what they were looking for. There weren't nuclear secrets in Melania Trump's underwear drawer, and they're trying to justify what they've done. They're not playing it straight before the American people. I think that that's going to play out."

Mark, as usual, is completely wrong.

A president can declassify whatever he wants. That's not the issue. However, there's a process of doing so, and it involves physically removing classified covers and tags. Until then, the document is still classified. If these are still on the documents, they're classified, and Trump either: is lying about declassifying after the fact to try to cover his ass, or he actually did state they should be declassified, but the action never took place, hence they're still classified. Either scenario paints him with possession of classified top-secret documents in an unsecure location, despite several attempts by the government to politely ask for them back.

And does it not concern anybody that, at best, if what Trump is saying is true, he declassified all of these top-secret, SCIF level documents, and they're now accessible to the public via a simple FOIA Request?

This. The stuff that Nunes saw that flipped him out so much, the Dems slapped an ethics charge on him. I have long suspected Carter Page wasn't the only one with a Title I FISA warrant on them. Not to mention the 702 and 703 queries. The entire unredacted letter from Admiral Rogers and the entire unredacted opinion of FISC Judge Collyer would be interesting reading. Let's see who signed off on what and when.

You don't think Mr. Big Mouth and his Twitter/Truth account would have spilled the beans on everything he had if he was in possession of classified documents that painted Hillary in a negative light? Think about that one for a minute, man.

If your justification is that he didn't because they are classified, then it seems we'll have come full circle.

You forget Trump has filed a massive lawsuit against Hillary, et. al. Makes sense he would hold off making everything public before he needs to.
