O'Rourke's newest organization, "Powered by People," is seeking to once again harness the collective energy of these volunteers old and new to finally usher in a new Democratic era in Texas. From helping fill more than 14,000 volunteer shift hours at food banks to its latest two and a half-hour phone bank bringing together more than 800 volunteers to ask likely Texas Democrats to register to vote, Powered by People has solidified itself as an organizing powerhouse.
Launched in December 2019, Powered by People was originally conceived as a way to galvanize a door-knocking army of volunteers to assist Democratic candidates in flipping the Texas House. To win back a majority in this year's elections, Texas Democrats hope to sweep just 9 of 22 targeted state house seats where O'Rourke won or lost within single digits in 2018.
One month after its founding, Powered by People stormed into the political arena, rallying 1,100 volunteers to knock on 41,000 doors in the weeks leading up to Democratic candidate Eliz Markowitz's effort to flip one of the 22 targeted state house districts. While Markowitz was unsuccessful, it heralded the political energy that Powered by People would invest in Texas.

Monkeypox is a virus, original article says bacterial infection.
This is where I am at, too.CrackerJackAg said:
This is not a derogatory post or an inflammatory post but in all honesty, despite the warnings from moderator, monkeypox is the first thing that comes to mind right now.
It's reasonable for us here on the form to assume that might be the case considering that the CDC has said there is a national emergency.
If that doesn't warrant speculation or discussion then the moderator is being nakedly political. Besides if a moderator shut this down because Beto was potentially having homosexual relations then what is the shame in that? I've been told that that is completely normal and acceptable behavior. Why would we not be able to discuss the topic? Is the moderator ashamed of homosexuality?
I agree with a previous post, if he had strep throat or something like that he would just lay low for a day and move on after an antibiotic.
It's clearly something embarrassing with physical identifiers and that is why he is laying low.

Wasn't this guy going to retire from his grift when he lost the senate race?

And coming out of the closet in the last month of the campaign might be an interesting campaign ploy. He wouldn't be able to even spend all the campaign cash he/she would be flooded with, if he/she wanted to.
Superstar status: renewed.

If people never quit throwing millions upon millions of dollars at you to spend however you wished, would you stop?
Yeah, that's messed up.Squadron7 said:
Staff...with all due respect...I understand taking down the monkeypox stuff...but taking down "Yeast Infection?"
That was a pure, Grade A TexAgs Comedy Gold Rejoinder.
You owe that guy some stars.
Isn't monkey pox just a version of scabies or shingles?DallasAg 94 said:

I would agree with either Chlamydia or Gonno.
Most other Bacterial infections are pretty tame.
Staph or Strep wouldn't make you go back to El Paso.
Menningitis, Syphilis... E Coli...
Botulism, MRSA would have him still in the hospital.
How embarrassing would it be if the (D) candidate for Gov got an STD... if not for the fact (D)s should be embarrassed by him in general.
