I see Soros in for a cool million bucks this cycle.

Thank you, Francis, for wasting his money again.
I am going to run for Governor of Texas as a Dem and picket a cool $20mm from the LIVs...

Powered by People gave 1.7 and was paid 1.7. What is the deal with that group?
Quote:

O'Rourke's newest organization, "Powered by People," is seeking to once again harness the collective energy of these volunteers old and new to finally usher in a new Democratic era in Texas. From helping fill more than 14,000 volunteer shift hours at food banks to its latest two and a half-hour phone bank bringing together more than 800 volunteers to ask likely Texas Democrats to register to vote, Powered by People has solidified itself as an organizing powerhouse.
Launched in December 2019, Powered by People was originally conceived as a way to galvanize a door-knocking army of volunteers to assist Democratic candidates in flipping the Texas House. To win back a majority in this year's elections, Texas Democrats hope to sweep just 9 of 22 targeted state house seats where O'Rourke won or lost within single digits in 2018.
One month after its founding, Powered by People stormed into the political arena, rallying 1,100 volunteers to knock on 41,000 doors in the weeks leading up to Democratic candidate Eliz Markowitz's effort to flip one of the 22 targeted state house districts. While Markowitz was unsuccessful, it heralded the political energy that Powered by People would invest in Texas.

I was just thinking the same thing from looking at that screen shot. A quick search returns that "Powered by People" is a PAC that beto started around 2020 (https://texassignal.com/beto-orourkes-powered-by-people-is-an-organizing-powerhouse/). There is nothing on the web site other than a link for donations- no further context etc (https://poweredxpeople.org/)

So on the surface it looks like Beto has ties of some sort to this PAC, where people donate. Then that PAC donates to Beto's campaign, and Beto's campaign pays the PAC for some sort of service(s) from the PAC? I don't know much about how PACs and campaign finance works, but seems like it is just funneling donated money back into his own PAC. Seems like a good way to skim off the top of your donations under the guise of providing "services"

Powered by People is nothing more than Beta's grifting mechanism.

And the offsetting donation and payment? A way for the group to keep 1.7 in donations?
oh no

assuming Powered by People is similar to Stacey Abrams' NGOs in GA and other activist "get out the vote" NGOs.. 1. take large donations from billionaire globalists like zuckerberg or soros. 2. "help" register every homeless person, apartment dweller, and nursing home resident possible whether real or not, whether they want to register or not, 3. make sure everyone they register requests mail-in-ballots, 4. collect mail in ballots 5. utilize drop boxes until desired results are achieved.

Monkeypox is a virus, original article says bacterial infection.

That's the idea

They're very loudly saying bacterial to hide a viral disease that would tank just already very shaky campaign

This is not a derogatory post or an inflammatory post but in all honesty, despite the warnings from moderator, monkeypox is the first thing that comes to mind right now.

It's reasonable for us here on the form to assume that might be the case considering that the CDC has said there is a national emergency.

If that doesn't warrant speculation or discussion then the moderator is being nakedly political. Besides if a moderator shut this down because Beto was potentially having homosexual relations then what is the shame in that? I've been told that that is completely normal and acceptable behavior. Why would we not be able to discuss the topic? Is the moderator ashamed of homosexuality?

I agree with a previous post, if he had strep throat or something like that he would just lay low for a day and move on after an antibiotic.

It's clearly something embarrassing with physical identifiers and that is why he is laying low.
This is where I am at, too.

Why would Beto be hiding if it wasn't something that he wanted to hide. And they would be more exact with what he was sick with if they didn't want to hide it.

Without more transparency from him, completely fair to speculate that he potentially came down with monkeypox and he is trying to hide it. All he has to do is take a picture and tweet it, it's not like he is protective of his personal life. He livestreemed his dentist appointment for crying out loud.

Yeah. He got run out of Rockdale, I think it was, a couple weeks ago.

Agreed. If it was something benign and short term he wouldn't be announcing anything. He would just be 'in meetings' and 'strategizing' for a week and nobody would have thought about it.

One thing we know is that it can't be Covid. He'd be bragging about how great the vaccine is and how happy he is to have taken 5 boosters.

Wasn't this guy going to retire from his grift when he lost the senate race?

If people never quit throwing millions upon millions of dollars at you to spend however you wished, would you stop?

And coming out of the closet in the last month of the campaign might be an interesting campaign ploy. He wouldn't be able to even spend all the campaign cash he/she would be flooded with, if he/she wanted to.

Superstar status: renewed.

Days since Beto has called a constituent for whose vote he is campaigning an "M effer" on camera: 18.

What's a guy gotta do for attention, now? Tweet from his bedroom that he wishes Fidel Castro was still alive to champion the Cuban people, who are peacefully disarmed, after all? Praise Mao for his legacy of carbon emission reductions?

This. You can't really blame him. If morons were throwing money at me for not really doing a whole lot, I sure wouldn't give them a reason to stop.

Monkey Pox is a virus.

I would agree with either Chlamydia or Gonno.

Most other Bacterial infections are pretty tame.

Staph or Strep wouldn't make you go back to El Paso.

Menningitis, Syphilis... E Coli...

Botulism, MRSA would have him still in the hospital.

How embarrassing would it be if the (D) candidate for Gov got an STD... if not for the fact (D)s should be embarrassed by him in general.
Isn't monkey pox just a version of scabies or shingles?

They're only sensitive about it because it affects a certain population the most.
