It's too late. We're past the point of calm debate. The left put a stake through that. This guy did a great thing by simply eating a kebab. He did, so far as the video shows, not do anything other than eat. He didn't call the protestors harsh names or threaten them. He might have been just passing by.

Point is, there's no negotiating with people as they are pouring blood all over the sidewalk or gluing their hands to counters or cementing their feet to driveways. It's past the point of debate.

PETA has not earned our respect.

Fair enough, standing up for PETA is not my hill to die on. I have no love for that corrupted organization and the people it attracts. I didn't see any positive outcome to the pushback or counter protest or whatever we want to call it, in this situation. It didn't silence anyone, didn't change PETA behavior, really only enflamed it. Sure it was funny, but what did it accomplish? If the pushback just serves to agitate, it's not furthering a meaningful result or objective. Is the goal to silence PETA? I think that would require a different approach. They've already shown they won't alter their childish behavior with their years of history doing this.

Or am I reading too much into this and should just go back to high fiving everyone over owning hippie vegans....

Lots of plant oils.

Coconut, olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, etc.

They need those oils to make it their disgusting "food" somewhat palatable and also where they get some of their basic nutrients.

Our bodies are designed to feed off of protein. They protein!

It would be so great and fun to find out where these whack jobs are protesting next, pulling up a competition size BBQ smoker right across the street, and start handing out invites. The line would be massive.

You're not reading enough into it. The point of the protest was to influence popular opinion that it on the sidelines. Counter protests are not designed to silence the opposition but to expose them for what they are. Making a rational argument is the best rebuttal to tantrums and histrionics.

This guy accomplished a lot by revealing to millions who have watched the video what unhinged totalitarian radicals PETA is. PETA leadership knows that in the battle to attract interest from the political middle that this one guy made their shock troops look like idiots.

PETA aren't the ASPCA or the Humane Society but a lot of politically disinterested people assume that they are just one of the many "nice" animal lover organizations that have a few unpleasant habits like dousing buildings and people with fake blood to make a point and occasionally getting some vapid woman to take her clothes off because it will somehow convince people not to wear animal skins.

So, the chick with the "you can't love animals and eat them too" shirt... gonna go out on a limb and guess her contributions to animal conservation pale in comparison to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Friends of NRA, National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, etc or the billions collected annually for conservation thru state hunting licenses and / or draws... all organizations that love animals (and eating them).

It was a very simple way to expose those PETA people for the unhinged, fools that they are. The phone camera's are always rolling. I really don't understand why so many "conservatives" think that liberals should be given any courtesy. The left has become very nasty over the last 20 years. They changed the rules, yet a lot of conservatives think that the right shouldn't counter protest. Playing nice doesn't work anymore.
