Seeing the Soviet flag made me wonder - communism somehow made it through their mass starvations without ending as any tolerable form of government. Will this pending wave of starvation be blamed to democracy, free trade, or capitalism?

According to Peter Zeihan, there are currently 30 countries with a cash crisis because there are not enough "petro" dollars thanks to inflation of their currency. Everyone (including China) is in a hole, and they keep thinking printing more of their money will help.

I disagree due to the fact that even as crime balloons, it really does not affect the majority of the population that only sees the crime and its aftermath on TV. Now, for something big to happen, it is not crime but the deprivation of things in this country that we have grown accustomed to. Actually, Americans have really not felt what true hunger is, or see what happens when the power goes out (yes, some have experienced this but not country wide), or turn on the spigot and no water comes out.

This is when things will go South in this country very quickly.

A few of those ADS offloaded at HKIA about a year ago would have saved a lot of lives and kept a bunch of people who shold not have been allowed on those C-17s outside the perimeter.
