I don't read every day so I'm sure this has been covered more than once even if only in discussions buried within other threads.

I find it a little disconcerting how some of you guys have defended him even for the most blatantly dumb and unnecessary actions/statements. Not criticizing him because because of polarization - well I get that. But some of you celebrate that **** and obviously think his wacky stuff is actually well thought out and intelligent.

I would always hope that my side of the political divide would expect better of and police itself to some degree.

Yeah yeah.....RINO, **** biden (agreed) and other blue star gathering posts.

But some retrospection and thinking about the long game of conservatism is in order. Fighting that fight is good it's just better to go about it in a smart way.

What is the function of an interrogative sentence?

The basic function (job) of an interrogative sentence is to ask a direct question. It asks us something or requests information (as opposed to a statement which tells us something or gives information). Interrogative sentences require an answer. Look at these examples:
  • Is snow white? (answer Yes.)
  • Why did John arrive late? (answer Because the traffic was bad.)
  • Have any people actually met an alien? (answer I don't know.)
How do we use an interrogative sentence?
We use interrogative sentences frequently in spoken and written language. They are one of the most common sentence types. Here are some extremely common interrogative sentences:
  • Is it cold outside?
  • Are you feeling better?
  • Was the film good?
  • Did you like it?
  • Does it taste good?
  • What is your name?
  • What's the time?
  • Where is the toilet please?
  • Where shall we go?
  • How do you open this?
There are three basic question types and they are all interrogative sentences:
  • Yes/No question: the answer is "yes or no", for example:
Do you want dinner? (No thank you.)
  • Question-word (WH) question: the answer is "information", for example:
Where do you live? (In Paris.)
  • Choice question: the answer is "in the question", for example:
Do you want tea or coffee? (Tea please.)

Let us know when we get some smart enough Republicans not named Trump or Desantis who can figure that out.

There are many confounding issues.

Some folks may apologize for Trump when he is being a bone head. Many many more are simply pissed at how horribly our government arms are treating him, conservatives as a whole and how blatantly we as a whole people are being lied to at every level.

Trump galvanized people behind him because he is the big guy fighting the system (whether you believe it or not).

Pretty much this. Is why "mean tweets" is such a well known phrase. Sure he hurt some feelings and didn't operate with the most tact. But his policies were great (with some exceptions) and he actually loves America.

"Conservatism" is garbage and has a 50 year track record of failure to prove it. We need to go in a different direction.

This.

Much better president than Obama in all three of his terms.

Concerned moderates need to understand something. You don't vote on character. With very few exceptions, politicians at the federal level tend to have bad ones. Both sides of the aisle.

If you're not a dumbass, you vote on policy. Trump's policies were good for Amercia, particularly the middle class.

Point out to me one single thing that the Biden administration has done for America. What little good (from the leftist point of view) has been done has come at the expense of the middle class.

Oh, and when you're feelings get hurt, there's a good chance you did something to bring it on yourself.

Every Liberal / Progressive I've ever run into on a message board or in person are narcissistic, flaming, a holes. They say some of the craziest most obnoxious crap ever, and nobody can ever tell them they are wrong because they have been indoctrinated so much in communist BS...So I guess having Trump out there representing the Conservatives and Republicans is like fighting fire with fire...

The Liberals hate him so bad because some of what he says actually starts making sense to them, and it goes against everything they have been indoctrinated to believe so it gives them the bad feels which leads to TDS.

Liberals like their conservatives to not fight back.

Q: Which is worse? Anything Trump ever said - or what the liberals did screaming the "Russia Russia Russia" lie for 3 years?

In truth, I think that kind of conservatism day is flat over. Done. Finished. Useless. The youth want a version of socialism. The task of the present generation is to hammer that into a form that still has a middle class and upward mobility or failing that, create a place that preserves free enterprise and capitalism. That means stopping the march toward Marxism at any cost, or being content with divorce.
