Principal for @mvwschools called police on a four-year old for not wearing a mask.

The officer was cordial and understanding, but the child could not stay. The child has missed school most of this week.

These Branch Covidians still hanging on to masking are certifiably insane.

I get the elderly and chronically sick masking up in crowds. But the rest need some help.

Every single one of those board members, the teacher, and the school administrators should lose their jobs over this. I am so tired of catering to the insane.

Regardless of local mandates, or lack there of, many entities still look to the CDC to set their masking policies. When it goes red, that means masks back on.

I had to basically push the issue at my youngest daughter's school…and it's a very nice private school in SA. My breaking point was when my buddy told me all of his kids in public school no longer had to wear masks and hadn't been for a while. I began emailing the school and went back and forth with the head of the school. When I pushed to know what the metrics were that were being measured to indicate we could move away from masking, he finally had to admit there were none, and that I was just an open discussion at the weekly board meeting. I then asked to attend this meeting to sit in on the discussion. He said I could do that but that this was not SOP. An email came out the next day stating that the mandate would be lifted the following Monday. The following Monday only about 20% of the kids were wearing masks and I'd say 50% of the teachers.

So yeah, I'll toot my own horn and take credit for this. Pushing back is the only thing these people understand.

I too got the policy changed at my youngest kids MDO. I felt like the hottest **** around especially when the teachers were thanking my wife next time she dropped the kid off.

I'm disappointed that the police officer didn't call it like it is. There is no mandate. It's a school rule. So the police were called to enforce a school rule, not a criminal act. I suppose it could rise to the level of trespassing, but the correct action would be for in-schools suspension and then expel him. Still the ultimate stupidity but the officer should have told the principal to deal with it and quit wasting law enforcement time.

Yes, it's still stupid, and I'd make a stink about my son having to leave school over a mask too, but if they asked me to leave or they'd call the police...I'd just leave.
