So

Either a corrupt political machine zapped just enough votes to get the petition below the threshold.

Or election integrity is important and we should take appropriate measures to ensure this.

Doesn't surprise me. I'm becoming more and more convinced that politicians are installed instead of elected.

It is too bad the Democrats do not use these stringent requirements for the right to vote.

Soros lost his DA in SFO. He will not allow another one to go down.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Great news. Hopefully he will double down on the soros playbook. Lessons need to be learned hard, and remembered by generations. Otherwise these leftists back off and then take more ground in a couple of elections in the future because people don't really see the full consequences of their voting.

The folks collecting signatures have been at it for a long time.
I signed the petition at Home Depot in NoHo probably 6-9 months ago.

And after all that, they came up just a few signatures short.
I guess this is why for the recall Newsom petition they got about 2x the number of signatures needed.

Do they not verify identities when signing up and then follow it up with a solid # count all the way through?

Honest question....

Do Latinos ever learn? Look at mexico. Next door to the greatest country to grace this planet for 250 years and yet a **** hole in perpetuity. LA is majority Hispanic.

US and mexico, apples to oranges.

Crime rates will hit the point where people are going to vote for change. nyc, san fransico, milwaukie etc learned (temporarily). Overall though, no one learns for more than a generation or two, before history repeating itself.

Gascon recall petition fails after signature audit.

It is not how many people signed the petition, it is about who counted the signatures.

PSSST: The counters wanted Gascon to win.

And yet you never see votes thrown out. If fact you see the opposite when needed. Seems to be a pattern of things always breaking the same way every time.

First no recall on Newsome

Now no recall on Gascon

California deserves to be a ****hole.

Friendly reminder that 110% of registered voters in LA County cast ballots in the 2020 election.

That county is *****

Nope. They just ask you if you're a registered voter in Los Angeles County.
Then, you sign the petition and put your name and address.

Honestly, I can't believe they checked any of it.
I didn't have to show ID to vote.
I only had to show ID to register to vote.

And a discrepancy on address could be something like a situation I had with my address.

Years ago, I lived in Apartment #20 at a certain street address.
After I bought my house, they somehow took my new address and added Apartment #20 to it.
They didn't really care that my address was wrong and let me vote either way.
But, since my address was technically wrong and I was signing to verify that everything was correct, I disputed it and had to vote provisionally in 2020.
When I voted in the Gubernatorial recall and in the primaries, my address now shows correctly in the voting system.

tldr; - It could be common to have the wrong address or have a mistake in your address

They tried to get a recall on him and it didn't make the votes.

Wrong.

Results of Newsom recall certified; 12.8 million total votes cast

There was a bunch of shady crap that went on with the recall election and he stayed in power.

Quote:

Two voter integrity groups say holes in some absentee ballot envelopes designed to help low-vision Californians cast their ballots have the potential to reveal whether anyone has voted in next month's recall election. Voted "yes" to remove Governor Gavin Newsom.

The election integrity monitoring group, the Amistad Project and the American Voters Coalition, say they have identified at least three counties, including Los Angeles and San Diego counties, where absentee ballot envelopes have a "window" showing voters' recall preference. .

There are stories and photos all over, where you can see people stealing these ballots.

Police in Torrance, California, announced on Monday that multiple agencies are investigating how and why hundreds of stolen vote-by-mail ballots for the upcoming gubernatorial recall election ended up in a parked car.

Short term is san fran and them recalling that marxist pos DA. But that's what we want to avoid, because it doesn't change their thinking.

Longer term is Texas since ann richards lost. Really before she was elected, Clayton Williams completely blew that election with his last minute open mike gaff. No statewide dems since then.

But it's all cyclical, that's human nature.

It's a sham(e) what has happened to California. Such a beautiful state with a lot to do. Sucks that it's been run into the ground by the crazy liberals.
