Since the white people of Massachusetts have surrendered their moral authority to govern that jurisdiction, they should just go ahead and establish whatever First Nation tribes want the place (might first have to have a little blood letting to decide which comes out on top). Though this sounds a little concessionary, I guarantee that the place will be better governed than it is now.

No people have any right to any land. It's the way of the world. If you have the land, you must protect it best you can until a stronger people come and you can no longer protect it or keep it.

No group is special and it's absurd to even consider yielding to such ideas as changing a flag here or renaming a country there.

Whites are superior to indigenous people. That's why they overtook them in every corner of the world. White people had designed plumbing and agriculture while indigenous people were still nomadic and living like cavemen. I say this and my great grandmother was a full blooded Indian.

When you lose, you lose. I love it that people forget that the indigenous tribes that whites overtook were simply the last indigenous tribes left; they'd killed/raped the other tribes already.

What actually happened was much more sophisticated than that. A super culture with superior technology and social and economic organization emerged and was refined by cultural conflict and merges over time and then outcompeted other cultures, or adopted their best practices to augment their own. Other cultures either merged into their niche in that superculture or were subjugated by it. I don't think race had much to do with the long term process in the bigger picture. Anyone could participate in the process and leverage it, or try to resist it and be crushed by it.

No doubt that few in the state see the irony of electing a person who faked being an Indian for personal gain their senator while objecting to this flag.

Not excusing any atrocities done, but isn't it hypocritical for you to claim it's your ancestor's land when your ancestors didn't believe in the concept of owning property?

this is true, but it just highlights how remarkable the Pilgrims were. They were the first people to enter a voluntary exchange for that land and pay for it - not take it by force.
