I get the idea, but on a moment's reflection I don't think most would place more importance on the country/state where a large, publicly traded corporation owned by millions of shareholders the world over has its tax domicile than where its products are made. I mean it's easy to say Toyota has far more economic contacts with Texas than Ford or GM, and this more deserving of our "patriotism" than Ford or GM.

That's because he's a liar. Is this your first time hearing a politician campaign? He would IMMEDIATELY declare all out war on the O&G industry in Texas if he was elected. He would weaponize the Railroad Commission and the TCEQ against operators and would also welcome EPA overreach from the feds. He is anti-oil and gas through and through. He is a liar.
