True, but his style of talking on topics and the media was not the least moderate, and that was a plus in 2016. Trump's rhetoric and his style of governing do not precisely match --- the D-MSM never realized that Trump's governing style might have even strayed as far as center left if they had worked with him.

But to illustrate the difference talking about, those not wanting Reagan to say "tear down this wall" are the kind of right that has run things since Reagan. Not the Right Center --- the Right Center wanted him to say that, and `evil empire'. However, realize mileage may vary where people draw the line.
