They can have a small effect on limiting spread in a 1:1 situation but next to zero effect on slowing or limiting community spread.

Let's have Jan6 level inquiry and committee into the origins of this virus, it actual real nature and impact, and even more precisely ALL the flow of money and who from and to involved.

There are no studies. No properly done cluster randomized ones and there probably never will be b/c they will show masking doesn't amount to much at all. Not enough to have ever been mandated. The CDC is afraid of doing the study as they stand to lose whatever credibility they have left when the findings came out.
