I signed us up for a "10c" plan back in Feb, it's really 13.4c for > 2k kWh. What makes this a little more difficult is at least one of us is WFH every day, so we don't have the ability to really kill the AC and let the house warm. The flip side is if we did both go into the office every day, whatever home electric savings we'd have would be murdered by gasoline prices. And this summer is much hotter than last years, so consumption is up regardless.
We have adjusted the thermostat, house was built in '78, needs new attic insulation probably badly, we've already replaced all the doors and windows prior to everything going to shat. I do have a walk-in cold room that's kept at 40F, thinking it's time to let that warm to 65F. Getting out of homebrewing anyway and we still have 2 very hot months left. Now I have a project for later today, changing that around.
