On that note, we visited Andrew Jackson's home over spring break and I was pleasantly surprised he was treated as fairly as he was considering some of the stuff he did.

It was pretty much - yes he had some faults but his drive and ambition helped build this country for the better. I was actually kind of surprised.

Visited Monticello in 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Part of the tour was about slave life on the plantation, I think Sally Hemmings was even mentioned, and that is fair.

It should not be a platform for an indictment of slavery in general or a long lecture about Jefferson's political involvement (or non-involvement) in it.

I visited UVA 18 months ago and I went to Monticello for a tour. The three different tour guides spewed a disgusting, unending harangue about Mr. Jefferson's "dark side" and that the embarrassing truth can and should now be told. I left the group after 30 minutes and strolled the beautiful grounds on my own.

But that is not what is happening. Most have now been eye-witness to some of these traitorous anti-American actions and know the truth. The type language you use in your response is cloward-piven to a tee, the actual intent is becoming known to all and you continue to support this leftist communist authoritarian tripe.

No one is going to do anything about it. The people who are left who still care are a permanently and rapidly shrinking group. We've been undermined from inside and overrun from outside for decades. It's over and has been for a while, I always knew this would happen.

I'm 54 and I'm confident that during my lifetime anything having to do with America up to the 1960s and maybe even up to the 2000s will be considered absolutely taboo. Within a few more decades the people who live here (they won't really be "Americans" in any meaningful way other than their geographic location) will be taught to look back on our country the way Germany treats their Nazi period. It's inevitable and it's already begun.

I'm sure it's no accident that she left out the fact that Jefferson had originally placed a passage in the Declaration of Independence that condemned slavery in order to have the institution removed.
