Not surprising. She's one of many in the executive bureaucracy who felt their personal beliefs and political leanings should override what the POTUS wanted or his policy positions. She's right there with people like Vindman who undermined Trump at every turn.

Wow, that's a really bad look for Pence.

Birx is a devout sinner, who believes DJT was a FAR greater sinner than her (same for Pence...libs in disguise).

Her take on EVERYTHING virus-related led to suburban moms freaking out and buying fashionable covid scarves, and also led to millions of deaths.

She should Thelma & Louise herself asap, or face certain 23/7.

Unbelievable how these folks maintain sanctimony when it's clear as the nose on their faces: the government response to Covid was the real and only tragedy.

In a normal world, Birx's book would be admitted into evidence as an admission to being an accomplice to the Crime of the Century.

Help me with context here. Is she saying Atlas's position on guidance would negate the known solutions or the guidance she gave negated the known solutions? It seems like she's saying the former while others are interpreting the latter.

But ultimately what was the point? What was her true motivation? When the President of the United States is asking you to tell him your honest opinion and best guesses as to course of action, why not be honest?

That's the problem with Trump. He was undermined at every turn and had no recourse or strategy to address. If you're going to talk a big game about draining the swamp then you better come prepared.

Agreed, but I think a substantial number of people who said they agreed with him on that mission double crossed him for some reason. Maybe they were on the take, maybe they were plants, or maybe they just lied about who they were. Trump, for sure, made some very bad choices in who he chose to put on his staff but what people won't seem to admit is that there were many who chickened out or weren't on board from the beginning, and either hid it from him or changed when things got heated.

Sessions as AG is a good example of that. He was an early backer, so him being a folding chair was a surprise.
