Skilled workers are still flocking to Texas despite longstanding quality of life issues. According to Census data, the state ranks No. 3 for net migration of college educated workers behind Florida and Washington. But when they arrive, they are finding limited childcare options, a stressed health care system with the highest rate of uninsured, new curbs on voting rights, and few protections against discrimination.

Would someone please tell the folks in CA this? They really shouldn't come here.

I kinda like it here. I also kinda suspect I'd hate living in a place that CNBC considered good. And I also kinda wish the folks that live here that agree with CNBC, CNN, PMSNBC, etc would move there.

Ummmm, yeah. Have they taken a look at the border and where it's located? Do they think illegals are coming over fully insured?

This means literally nothing. They could not provide you one single example of this platitude bulls*** if their life depended on it.

Show me one example of a person with a valid ID who wants to cast a ballot who can't. One. You can't, because you're full of s***.

Stupid article is stupid lol. It claims skilled (I.e. upper middle earners) are still moving to Texas despite the woes of unskilled workers (lower income earners). Apparently they can't put 2 and 2 together.

Well, for these dumbasses, having to prove you are who you say you are is somehow restricting voting rights. It's completely logical.

Delaware , Bidens state, does not allow early voting. Texas does.

But yeah, Texas is restricting voting rights.

There are substantial quality of life issues in California. Taking away the failure of public safety alone in the big cities, the entry-level pricing on housing alone is out of reach for pretty much everyone.

That said, there are some good pro family policies that exist in California and not Texas. California has paid family leave that allowed me to take six weeks off when my children were born. I wasn't able to do it the second time because I have a job that requires more responsibility, but for my first kid that was a very special time in life . Secondly, my daughter will get to start public school next year at age 4. I will be relocating to the Midwest for family reasons in the next few years, but saving money on childcare is a reason that I will be sticking around for at least two more years. TLDR I do get some thing from government services here for my 13% surcharge.

Because living in Austin, Houston and Dallas is fine and their suburbs is fine and cheaper than living in CA. But the dark red parts of the state have terrible access to healthcare and education.

1. Childcare - I found it, so can they
2. Uninsured - Not my fault you suck
3. Voting rights - stfu, you get 2 weeks to vote and there are plenty of places to do it. You just suck
4. discrimination - I see it go both ways, get over it. And it's not at all bad.

Bunch of pansies made this list up.
