True, but don't forgot about all the big ag companies, meat packing plants, building contractors, restaurants and hotels, oil field companies, small business lawn care services, and everyone else who loves them the cheap labor so much that they'll talk about not liking immigrants coming in with one side of their mouth while the other side offers them a job.

There has to be a demand for these people coming over, otherwise they'd have no place to work, and obviously there's plenty of demand. And while they may not directly organize them, let's not pretend they're not ready with open arms for them when they get here.

Most of them know people already here, they have connections.

They disperse across the country, working in slaughterhouses in the the Midwest, tobacco fields in the Carolinas or on the framing crew at your house under construction. The women clean houses, wash dishes or take care of other immigrants kids that are working.

They work hard at really crappy jobs for cheap money. They take advantage of the American system of healthcare, education to the detriment of legal citizens to further enrich themselves. They steal the identities of legal citizens so they can work under an assumed social security number for employers who don't really care & can't find anyone else to do the job. Some will work for cash as day laborers, but that is hit or miss for employment. Most want a steady job. They will start businesses after a while in low startup cost areas such as lawncare, housecleaning, etc. A ton of contracting trade companies are run by 1st & 2nd generation Americans. You have to come up through a trade in order to learn the business & white folks generally aren't interested in learning how to tie rebar or roof a house when it's 105 outside.

In three generations (maybe 1 less or 1 more) they are completely Americanized. They probably don't speak their native language at home & might not even fully understand it in some cases. 3rd generation immigrants from south of the border are pretty much like the rest of us (in a generalized sense, not Fightin' Texas Aggies)

America needs immigrants, but they are a drain overall on the country for the first two generations (if uneducated). They system is messed up & both the Democrats AND Republicans have done little to fix.
Instead of a pragmatic approach of actually trying to solve the problem, they retreat to "Build the Wall" or "They are just innocent victims, we must take them in".... which incidentally is where the current government is on virtually every issue. All the issues are black or white, nothing gets done except politicians getting rich & the working folks get fleeced.

Look at the plum grove situation - if people weren't aware of that going on for years - no telling how many of these shanty towns dot the nation. That's where the masses who don't have good connections go.

A guy that worked for me about 15 years ago turned his garage into a dormitory. He had 3 bunk beds, a window unit A/C, Big screen TV, table & a couple of couches for the guys.
The guys paid him rent every month. For extra money, they could pay his wife to make breakfast, pack them a lunch & wash their clothes. All in cash.

this is not the Jesus was a communist thread.

Watch that video of all those cartel members smuggling massive quantities of drugs into the US and then watch the little girls dropping off all those gallons of drinking water for them. You support these actions? Whose side are you on? Our lack of a border? The cartels and dealers who will profit? The users who will die? The NGOs who send those girls out to supply the cartels? All of them?

My recollection is that Jesus fed the hungry who came to hear his word. He didn't feed sinners who were continuing to sin.
