Sri Lanka declared bankruptcy yesterday.

There have been riots for the past few months because they have no fuel, inflation is out of control, foor prices are skyrocketing, blackouts for over 12 hours a day, and medicines are hard to come by.

The police/military was ordered to shoot rioters.

And now, the Sri Lankan people have over run the presidential palace.

The chaos from riots is not going to achieve the relief the people want. It's going to break down the remaining functional supply chain and infrastructure operation in the short term and a lot of them are going to die. It will be a considerable human tragedy if they don't exercise considerable measures restraint.

The boil needs to come to head, otherwise the problem would have only continued to escalate anyway until there was a complete breakdown. It may not have the effect that the rioters want short term, but it's something that absolutely had to be done for the long term.

World governments are creating these situations with green initiatives. Look what's transpiring in the Netherlands right now with the Dutch farmers. Why is the government wanting to reduce farming 30% at a time when food shortages and the possibility of famine is being talked about as a real possibility?

It's both. I do think the very tip top elitists are trying to intentionally do this and think they can simply avoid all the ensuing chaos. I also think they are doing it because they are simply bored. When you have that much money the only thing that gets you off is exercising power and playing the game of thrones.

Everyone else carrying all of this out are simply brainwashed fools who have been convinced and have convinced themselves that GND is the "right" thing to do. And now have two generations (after Gen X) of miseducated people who will continue to pursue this insanity because that's what they have been taught.

FYI to all, it is officially just another socialist state that has failed; "Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka." 22 million or so people live there. The legislature has of late been led by the progressive united people's freedom alliance (read: leftist).

Wasn't it Norman Borlaug, who said that if we want to go full organic, we should first choose which 2/3 of the population we plan to starve to death?
