He's not allowed to interview Trump. He learned his lesson from covid and he scared - he's got a nine figure contract with Spotify that can be cancelled by the Left at any moment.

The Left's reactions to Trump are the true existential threat to democracy when they feel justified with their actions.

He'll lose more viewers for that than anything during covid. A threat to democracy, what a joke and that's from a regular listener.

The definition of a concerned moderate. He talks a big game but in the end always ends up toeing the liberal line pulling the lever for socialists.

He's been right on the WuFlu and some other things, and for those he should be supported when the left tries to cancel him, but no one on the right should think he is on our side.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

An existential threat?

Come on man.

And I thought what was so great about Rogan was his interest and ability in seeking to understand people of all persuasions. Allowing them to tell their story without judgment.

Not exactly. He's fairly independent but doesn't hide his modern liberal leanings. He's a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and acknowledges that Biden is a brain dead idiot.

If it's between Biden and DeSantis in 2024 I can see him voting DeSantis (even though he may not publicly endorse him).

It's a shame really. I never thought Rogan was a conservative, but I did give him credit for being levelheaded. The thing I always attributed to him was that if there was a good interview to be had he would do it, but clearly that isn't always the case.

If he has had other politicians on then did that yes he sucks. He will fit right in Austin with the other communists that have moved from California after they wrecked the state.

Rogan is a guy who's heart bought into the lefty BS, and even though his personal success, interests, and conversation partners all point right; he's never let his scales balance out.

let's be very clear joe rogan and bill maher are not conservatives. just because someone may say something you agree with once in a blue moon does not make them an ally. in fact it almost makes them more dangerous because many let their guard down because at times they come accross as reasonable. they are not and the people they support hate you.

Well put. I think he's also a guy who voted for Obama twice, then became a strident Bernie bro (Socialist/Communist), before sitting out the last two actual elections (or voting for Jorgensen, which is the same thing as sitting it out, it is so stupid) because he couldn't figure out the Democrats are evil. Heck, he still thinks Obama was the 'best president of our lifetime' and has championed…Michelle/Michael to run in 24.

Color me unimpressed with his big political acumen/brain. That he has a calm voice and questioned the efficacy of paper masks/lockdowns/'vaccines' for healthy young people doesn't mean his political analyses warrants respect.

I question the intellect of otherwise intelligent-sounding people who listen to him and think he is for some reason exceptionally smart/insightful, politically. Comedian, MMA fighter, radio jock, socialist, stoner, agnostic; none of those things indicate he's a smart guy.

This may be so, but this goes to the point tried to make on another thread:

Quote:

HOLD.

If you want to try to talk to the Democrat side seriously, you must spot them a starter point also.

Grant, that it is possible, just possible, there was enough steered by the narratives (we all know what those were and how loud) that the vote turnout didn't work for Trump where it had to.

That the election was not changed by actions after midnight of Nov 3rd is an article of faith for the Left. For purposes of discussion, stipulate it. Its possible it wasn't. The rigging happened before, in the selective coverage, MIB, how Covid was used, and the basically illegal changes in election procedures. They can even be made to see that, because it is objective.

Start from there, and realize Rogan like too many smart liberals know is looking at Nov 2020-Jan 2021 and especially Jan 6 and LIZ CHENEY's et al's accusations from the GOP-E and thinking Trump is a threat.

You have to acknowlege that to try to reason with the changeable voters.

Well, I'll just recommend you check back on the thread in the morning, or later this evening.

We've had Rogan threads for years now, and he has a band of true believers/followers that insist he is actually brilliant/worth listening to just for his great insight/questions/thoughtfulness etc.

You're welcome to like anyone you please, and I'll go right ahead and disagree whenever I feel like it if you feel compelled to share said thoughts on an open message board.

Musk is actually a smart guy/genius/very good engineer, imho, though I think politically he is also 'out there.'

Rogan also referred to Trump as "an existential threat to democracy itself.

The idiot also said Obama was one of our greatest presidents and Michelle would be even better.

Why so many jumped on this guys bandwagon is beyond me, even if he did say a few things that were right.

Maybe it was just a broken clock is right once a day thing.

It's funny, liberals and Democrats constantly say what a threat to democracy Trump is but they never say why.

And it's also funny because the Democrats themselves are the ones that are actually threatening democracy with all their socialist and green energy bull*****

What am I missing here? As mentioned in this article he's seemingly thrown some support behind DeSantis, and he's never been a fan of Trump. He's all over the place politically, anyone who listens to him knows that, but always an interesting listen, nonetheless. Never because I thought he was one of "ours" or "theirs".

The reaction on this thread about him succumbing to the far left just days after seemingly backing DeSantis is odd. All because he was a meanie about Trump? Weird.

I agree with much of this but would add another point. I don't think he has much interest in politics or political conversations. The ones he has had have been largely thrust upon him. I definitely think he doesn't want his podcast to be seen as a political podcast, despite having the occasional political guest.

Whether left or right, people who live politics 24/7 have a hard time understanding people who don't view every life choice through this prism.

I you listen to Rogan for his insight, you are doing it wrong. He does have some pretty solid and interesting takes on things from time to time, but you listen to his shows for his guests.

He is an absolute idiot in general when it comes to politics and has openly admitted as such and tells people not to get political advice from him. he has some very rookie level political takes. That being said, he is a free thinker for the most part and pretty damn open minded and seems like a solid dude. He is not your typical white liberal. Guys like him, Tim Pool, Russell Brand etc. are the rare exceptions. Remind me of my old school dem buddies who I could discuss and debate politics with while drinking beer/hunting/golfing and still part ways just as good a friends with no hard feelings. He has defended Trump plenty of times and loves calling out the mainstream modern left...but I think he is one of those people who truly believes Trump incited Jan 6th and wanted all of that to happen. He is very naive and impressionable when it comes to stuff like this.
