I am amazed at the lack of vetting that occurred when choosing this Grand Marshal. How they thought this would play well with the folks of Friendswood is beyond me. This was a big controversy here last week, mainly on social media. We won't be at the parade tomorrow but I'm sure there will be a few signs held up for both sides.

Can't remember who initially pointed it out, but they had a long Twitter thread on how the media manipulated the story.

He pointed it out, calling on the people of Friendswood to let the city council know about this person, no threats, no harassment, etc.

City Council releases a statement on Facebook saying there were threats, but provides no evidence of threats.

Houston Chronicles and other outlets pick up to story, report on the threats as fact yet do not bother to confirm with the council of the existence of threats. Just take what they say as gospel.

Suddenly, the guy who pointed out that this ridiculous person was going to lead the parade is actually being threatened himself by a bunch of progressive automaton turdmunchers.
