People can play dress up and ask others to call them whatever they want as long as they are respectful about it and don't turn in to a-holes about being "misgendered". I really don't care what you want to identify as or who you bone, just don't force me to be a part of it.

That being said, I really think it's doing a disservice to these people to label them as a gender they do not even really try to emulate, on a missing person's poster. I would think the priority would be to find them over confirming their delusions.

If they were my family member, I'd demand the most accurate description that could be provided by police.
