If men can get pregnant, why did they need a surrogate?

I'm starting to understand the argument for women wanting control of their own bodies.

If two men have sex and a woman gets pregnant from it, that is terrifying.

No matter how they legitimize, it is still unnatural.
This doesn't come from Bible thumpers, it's nature. Even if there were no God and we evolved, two men or women cannot reproduce.

The last Survivor I watched had a gay male that stated "we are pregnant", talking about his partner and he. Everyone smiled and oohed and awed as though it was completely normal. Those who believe this is abnormal are in the minority now, imo.

I just find it annoying when persons who aren't actually doing the work and suffering the physical demands of carrying the child claim the status or title of being in the state of pregnancy. I even dislike it when the male hetero parent of a child says this, as has become popular lately. It's a stupid virtue signal by the male that he is exceptionally involved in the phenomenon somehow, or hyper empathetic to the carrying female by claiming to share the status, and it sounds stupid to me, as it is logically incoherent. Suppose popular culture never claimed rationality, however, but it doesn't cease to annoy me and I won't use the "couple is pregnant" language except to criticize it as I have here.

I prefer the Tom Arnold description - fifteen seconds of joy, eighteen years of misery. (True Lies) Although in my experience the last part of his description doesn't hold water.

Smiling and nodding wouldn't be my approach. I'd be asking which guy was having the baby... which one of "you" are pregnant? I wouldn't be dancing around it, either... for I don't care. I call it like it is. I'll call out their crazy.

Those guys are bat**** crazy. We're in a toilet.

She's their donor cow.... maybe they can flush her 3 or 4 times this year, cross her with the right sire, and get a two or three dozen babies on the ground for other gay dudes to play house with.

The pregnant lady in the background comes off as lonely and isolated. Really bad look like she's some kind of breeding livestock as others have posted. I wonder if they do similar shoots for lesbian couples. Like maybe having the donor in the background flexing or doing something overtly masculine.

The irony of possessing intelligence is that we are able to circumvent natural selection via technology. This represents the biggest problem with humans IMO.

And how would they feel if she decided for some reason to abort the baby. Her body. Her choice.

Uhhh... That show is 100% scripted.

But if it has you thinking that this of us that find his behavior abnormal and repugnant are in the minority, the grooming is working on you too.

This is very disturbing on so many levels.

In all seriousness, should gay couples be allowed to raise children?

Are you equating the act of grooming to those who think homosexual behavior is wrong? If so, wow.

The issue isn't the sexuality of the parents. The issue is the commodification of children. They gheys are just appropriating that behavior. It began with heterosexuals.

https://www.ncregister.com/news/the-commodification-of-children-and-the-insensitivity-of-the-culture

Until we have a real conversation across the entire culture about what is right--and NOT what are my rights--harm will continue to be done. The US slide into Sodom did not begin with Stonewall.

No. I'm saying the media and others want us to believe it's normal, acceptable, everyday behavior. In this example the participants on a show oohhhing and ahhhhing when two dudes say they're pregnant as if it's completely natural and normal.

If anyone rolled their eyes or scowled they'd be edited out, booted entirely, or they're reshoot the scene.

Yes, this picture is disturbing. But it is a perfect example of the slippery slope argument. Once we decided it was ok for hetero couples to do this, it was but just a small step for gay couples to join the party. Both treat women as breeding stock.

Quote:

"The right to say yes to a child is the mirror image of the right to say no to a child."

That article is complete horse manure.
"The very language of the IVF procedure is an inegalitarian one of producer over product, of controller over controlled," he said. "This is radically opposed to the idea of unifying committed sexual love in which a newly conceived child for those lucky enough to conceive one is 'received' as a gift and at no stage treated in a sub-human, 'product-like' way."

"Contraception and abortion are the instruments that make 'choice' seem plausible. Both abortion and contraception were about the 'choice' to say 'No' to a child," said Morse. "But, increasingly, people are seeing artificial reproductive technology as a means of 'choosing' to say 'Yes' to a child. So the 'right' to have a child becomes the mirror image of the 'right' to dispose of the child. The buying and selling of children is literally the only way to accomplish this 'choice,' since ordinary sexual reproduction has such a large random element to it. Hence, the easy slide to commodification of children."

I'm going to start my day with charity and suggest you re-read as I think you misunderstood the point. It's an argument against materialism as that relates to modern obstetrical practices--and the people exercising those options.

If you disagree, an argument other than "horse manure" might be more compelling.
