And you are in college? Get expelled(or punished via title 9)

Quote:

Such protections would make more explicit schools' responsibilities to transgender students, settling ongoing debates about their right to use bathrooms marked for the gender they identify with; dress the way they prefer; be referred to by their preferred pronouns; and be protected from gender-based bullying," New York Times reports.

Don't see how this would stand up to a court challenge

It shouldn't. But a lot of damage will be done in the 2 or 3 years it takes to work through the courts.

Also, who is ever around to hear themselves being referred to in the third person. It rarely happens.

Be consistent by calling them all "dumb asses." As a result, you avoid the whole pronoun thing and you give them a better reason to get mad about something.

True. It is considered polite to use someone's name when they are present. You really should never use a personal pronoun in front of someone. You can never get in trouble (yet) by using someone's name.

What if their name isn't their name? Calling Jimmy Jamie is no different. You still must yield reality to reaffirm their gender. It's no different.

Years ago, I was stranded on a very cold and icy night in Gorman, Texas. They didn't have a motel or anything like that at a time so I stayed in the fire department. There was only one other person there that night.

We introduced ourselves to each other. Instead of asking "What do you do?", he asked "What does Eric do?"

That was a bit unsettling to hear it asked like that since it sounded like he was asking about someone else other than myself.

Not sure courts matter. Are universities still allowed to run their own kangaroo courts and expel men on a whim due to false rape allegations?

It's fair and logical under this world order to co-opt other parts of language for yourself. My preferred adjectives are handsome, charming, and domineering.
