My dog loves to snuggle and if I'm sitting or laying down she is always snuggled up to me. But if you touch any part of the top of her body (her side when she's laying down), she growls, wigs out and runs off. I call it "top touch." It's actually helpful when you need to go to the bathroom. You can rub her head or belly, just no top touch.BusterAg said:My dog has serious dementia in his old age.GeorgiAg said:

Will wake up and flat out snarl at me like I don't belong in my own house, threatening to bite, until I talk to him, and then he will promptly tuck tail, get a drink of water and go to sleep.
He will also go outside, come back in a few moments later. Lay down for 30 seconds, and then ask to go back outside again. Very new behavior in a 15 year old dog.

Sexual pantomime is a symbol of dominance in many different animal species that have community relationships.

There are naturally occurring hermaphrodites in nature. A large part of this is due to parthenogenesis, but it naturally occurs.
Our lowly origins and DNA have signals that appear preternatural but are anything but.
The foundational building blocks of life are the same.Burdizzo said:Neehau said:

We are not earthworms, in case you have not noticed.

Dolphins and whales seem to be exceptions, but even whales are ruthless rapists, almost as bad as ducks. They will pair up and gangbang a cow if she is a prude. As for ducks, if you have ever seen a male duck *****, it is absolutely hilarious. It's super twisted so that it can effectively rape female ducks, who have super twisted procreation openings to protect from male duck rape. Duck rape is such a huge thing that the males and females have competitively evolved over time to combat and enable rape.

Those animals change from male to female specifically to ensure the species doesn't die off. The change is kicked off when there is an over abundance of specific hormones in the immediate habitat they are living in.
They also end up changing their reproductive organs to suit this change and can have viable offspring.
You let me know when a male human can grow their own useable uterus and ovaries.

I'm asking a legitimate question and not poking the bear so to speak. I'm not privy to any animal research findings, but am curious to know if anyone is aware of studies having been conducted.

Clown fish change from male to female.
Kobudai change from female to male.
There are also salmon species that are both male and female.

The cuttlefish.
I saw a documentary once where a HUGE male cuttlefish had his prize female he was mating with and protecting.
This smaller male changed his color and shape to appear to be a female. This made the big male put his guard down and allow the fake female closer to him and the actual female.
The disguised male then slipped a soerm packet to the female and swam away.
