A new poll released Wednesday showed Pennsylvania's Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman with a lead over Republican nominee Mehmet Oz in the race to be the state's next U.S. senator.

The poll, conducted June 10-13 by Suffolk University, also showed Pennsylvania voters overwhelmingly disapproved of President Biden's job performance, while only 15% rated the state of the U.S. economy as "good."

Fetterman and Oz are running to succeed retiring GOP Sen. Pat Toomey in the key general election battleground state. The race is one of a handful across the country that will likely determine if the Republicans win back the Senate majority in November's midterms.

According to the poll, 46% of likely Pennsylvania voters said they would support Fetterman to represent the state in the Senate, while 37% said they would vote for Oz. Thirteen percent of respondents said they were undecided, while the rest said they would support other candidates.

Very good chance that as predicted, Trump is going to cost the Republicans the PA Senate seat. There will be a lot of Republicans who are not going to vote for Oz because of his previous position on guns and "transitioning" children.

Depends on if Fetterman doesn't get sicker. Cardiomyopathy is serious business and he's already had it for five years.

Not a fan of Oz myself.

They'll just replace him if it comes to that. I'm sure there is a process in place in case a candidate drops out or dies.

Trump should have kept out of the primary race.

McCormick would have done much better than Oz against Fetterman.

Way too early after a bruising primary. Oz will get on-air and on message. That 13% undecided is going to have a long fun summer watching gas prices rise exponentially.

I would have some serious reservations voting for a guy that just had a stroke and has severe underlying issues. But considering Biden is 900 years old, has 2 aneurysm clips already and has obvious dementia…. Health concerns are not even on the radar for Dems it appears.

But Trump walked funny down stairs, "unfit for office!"

It's not all that different than Texas . Big cities are seemingly lost. Rural not so much . I suppose the real difference is their suburban areas lean more blue.

Doesn't matter how many people are fed up with Biden/Dems...they still don't want a fraud like Oz representing them.

He's going to get the hardened Team R folks and likely struggle for more beyond that. Pennsylvania has a large, constantly fluid group in the middle.

Cocaine Mitch going along with gun control isn't helping either as it is a reminder that Oz will become another RINO, the only question is if he becomes Romney or Cornyn.

This attitude will continue to ensure Republicans lose the presidency.

Electoral votes from "lost" states:

California - 55
New York - 29
Illinois - 20
Penn - 20
New Jersey - 14
Washington - 12
Mass - 11
Oregon - 7
Connecticut - 7

That is 175 electoral votes without even getting out of bed.

Add New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Minnesota, DC, Delaware, NH, Vermont, Rhode Island, Hawaii and Maryland as solid blue states and that gets you to 236.

Dems only need to win 3 of Virginia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia to win. They don't even need to try in Florida or Ohio anymore.

You can't just write off states as "lost". Republicans simply don't have the avenues for victory if we do.

Nominate better candidates that Dr. Oz.

How good is this poll? Either way Oz isn't great but this has to be a do you want more years of Bernie/Biden policies or not? That should be a simple choice.

Could you imagine if a Republican followed and detained an unarmed black man with a shot gun like Fetterman did in 2013?

That said Oz sucks.

If PA hasn't improved their ability to count ballots in under 2 weeks, then Republicans could run Jesus and would still lose. That state is lost, no matter the candidate because they know that they can cheat without repercussions.

We're talking about a state who overwhelmingly voted for Trump in '20. I lived there. That place lies, cheats and steals with the best when it comes to voting. For all I know Oz is up by 30 but those f'ers will steal the vote.

Trump isn't hurting Oz. The cheating liberals / D's are. Get ready for widespread stealing of the vote.

Seriously though reading F16 these days paints a very gloomy picture. It likely puts you on edge. Be mindful of that both with your online presence but more importantly your personal connections afterward.

Considering I am dealing with a poster and certainly a group of posters that believe every bit of nonsense that has come out of Trumps mouth about the 2020 election, I always assume that they are serious.
