I hear all these anti-gun arguments based on the fact that an 18 year old can buy an AR-15 but not a beer. So we should raise the age of buying "assault weapons" to 21 since 18 year olds aren't mentally capable of being able to handle that. When did buying alcohol become the centerpiece of being an official responsible American? To me the greatest right and sobering responsibility that Americans have is the right to cast a ballot. I've heard for years now Hilary, Pelosi and Sanders say we should lower the voting age to 16. Interesting, 16 year olds aren't mentally developed to handle a rifle but totally capable of being able to discern politics and vote them into Congress.

Sun-Times is an NPR Affiliate, so public dollars go towards this evil.
