Genuine question.

I'm at an airport and notice the majority do. Interestingly enough, black Africans do not.

Is it fear?
Is it virtue signaling?

I guess I should just ask them.

It's called the majority did not get the vacinne and don't trust the govt because of the past. I actually give black people that wear a mask a pass

Also as a population they were hit hard by covid due to heart disease, type 2 diabetes and other endemic factors. I don't blame them wanting to spare loved ones who may be susceptible to covid. Young people however it is a mixed bag I think.

Also they're usually very Democrat

For me, black Americans aren't who I see wearing masks the most, but those from Asian descent, including those from the indian subcontinent.

Black people also overwhelmingly vote democrat in hopes things will change for their community. I guess choosing a solution that doesn't work is second nature to them, so they wear a mask.

Where I am the vast majority of people still wearing masks are white males in their early to mid 20s and it's not even close. No idea why this is but it's quite obvious.

Then its a logic fail because they are told to wear them by the govt, and they dont work

I noticed the same thing recently at a casino in Oklahoma. Only people wearing mask were blacks and Asians.

Same here. Indians in my neighborhood are always wearing them, including outdoors on walks. My guess is culturally they tend to be more compliant.

Same. For them it makes much more sense than the Whites, who I'm sure are doing it, not for health reasons, but virtue signaling.

Cultural for these groups.

Blacks doing it because they distrust the government giving them an invasive vaccine (rightfully so) so they are following the next best preventative strategy they've been told works. The latter because they are all democrats.

Intelligence has 3 factors in my opinion.
1. Knowledge (memory and fact recall)
2. Intellect (complex problem solving and ability to learn new things quickly)
3. Wisdom (sense of knowing right from wrong)

Of those 3, Asian and academic circles tend to favor knowledge. This skill is one you can work hard to build and is the simplest one to test. Knowledgeable people tend to trust those who are more knowledgeable.

Under 90% of circumstances this wins out as true. However, to an intellectual, the value in being right that 10% is much more valuable. Nature pays out quite handsomely if you can be right frequently enough when most are wrong.

Now of the 2, is one smarter than the other, not necessarily. But each has different blindspots.

Because most blacks are liberal and most liberals wear masks. That simple.

If they want to wear a mask, that is their business... It is forcing their business on others that gets my goat.

Moreso than other cultures, Black culture doesn't **** with the unknown and inexplainable. Covid info was all over the map for 2+ years so it makes sense that they're still wearing them because it makes them feel safer. The first people I saw masked up were black people in the airport. They were the first to put them on and they'll be the last to take them off.

IMO it's either virtue signaling or superstition. Groups susceptible to either of those seem to wear masks.

A very small percentage of the airport population are wearing masks so I don't think it's strictly liberal vs conservative.

It's fear, not virtue signaling.

I would give you the answer but it's not politically correct and not worth debating. White libs and many white conservatives refuse to acknowledge it.

The only people I see wearing masks now are black people. Half the blacks in the restaurant I ate at Friday night were masked up from door to table.
