Cowering out in the hall, apparently. Or posing for bad ass SWAT photos.

The guy who shot him. He was an off duty BP agent right?

Using his barbers shotgun. It's a good thing that barber had a firearm!

Is there really a worse example of the failures of the gun control ideology than uvalde? Guy who shouldn't have had a gun (based on multiple social media posts) passed all background checks, acquired guns legally, shoots family, shoots at cops, they don't manage to take him down, he goes to a gun free zone, and then starts massacring people while the all knowing government sits on its butt trying to figure out what to do. Finally an off duty good guy with a legal fire arm says F it, goes in, and ends it.

Agee with all you said, but don't thunk it was the odd duty BP that ended it, was it?

No it wasn't.

The dude with the shotgun went in and got his wife and daughter out of the school (and other kids).

Was not the shooter of the perp.

Looks like it was a Border Patrol Tactical Unit that took Ramos out.

Teachers should have been packing heat!!
Lupe the cafeteria lady should have pulled out her chrome & gold 1911a and whacked the bad guy.

He's actually didn't rescue his wife and kid.

From the story:

At one point I was there at the door, fixing to go in, but I didn't have any of my gear, it wouldn't have been a smart move for me," Albarado said, describing the police presence on-scene. "All of those guys had their gear and stuff."

He then received word from his wife that she evacuated the building, and Albarado said "when I saw my daughter it was a big relief."

Albarado also said "to me, I believe everyone there was doing the best they could, given the circumstances."

Kids and teachers didn't have gear either. When you work this kind of job, sometimes you have to make a decision that the lives of others are more important than your own safety. A lot of people did the calculus that day and decided their own safety was more important than the next person getting shot. Feels like armchair quarterbacking but that was the decision made. Next time, at least get out of the ****ing way & let a willing civilian or group of civilians go for it.

Good guys with guns cannot enter a school zone with a gun. Schools are gun-free zones, remember?

Good guys with guns who can legally enter gun-free school zones:

  • Armed forces and guards
  • Peace officers
  • Special investigators
  • Parole officers
  • Corrections officers
  • Judicial officers
  • Retired officers
  • Attorneys general and related personnel
  • Bailiffs
  • Probation officers
  • Volunteer emergency services
  • First responders
  • Emergency shelter evacuees

The good guys with guns were not there initially. Schools are gun-free zones, the good guys with guns obey the law. The bad guy with a gun ignored it, and went after easy unarmed targets. More laws would just mean the good guys are even less available or equipped to help out.

The sad part here is that when the cops arrived minutes later, they sat around for a while.

Allegedly anyway. I'm not believing anything that is being reported anymore.

I've got a hard time believing a plain clothes guy with a shotgun is in there clearing classrooms and hallways when an active shooter situation is going on, but who the hell knows.

It does seem like his legend is growing though as at least 3 posters in this thread now believe he is the one that popped the shooter.

So do we know who actually shot the perp? Or just who didn't do it?
