In the article, they did not mention race (ethnicity) and I wondered why. Then I got to the bottom of the article.

Not just south. 7 teens arrested the last 2 days from Georgetown, Round Rock, Manor,Bastrop. Black and White kids.

Since adults are allowed to keep weapons in their vehicles at schools, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take off from work for a day and set up a mini tailgate in the school parking lot, or across the street.

I think the pandemic response is likely a huge part of it. Many kids were disconnected for most of 2 years, and lack direction and purpose. Many likely got into nihilistic echo chambers on social media, and didn't do well at all with school or dropped out. Many probably feel left behind so they're going to take out their anger and try to go out in a blaze of infamy to prove their somebody. Sad times...

These schools are gonna see a huge drop in enrollment next year.

It seems like it, and I hope this is the case. The public school system is full of angry psychopaths with no parents who have been raised by violent, nihilistic corners of the internet. The kids and teachers at school know who they are, hopefully they're speaking up about it.

It didn't help, but this has been around for awhile now. My wife can point out the kids that would have a high propensity for doing something like shooting up a school. Most never go far enough to merit doing anything to them.

Nations create honey pots designed to lure or incentivize these profiled types of children/young adults.

Reddit/etc nation-state actors continue to target those who have the "right stuff" during the pandemic, sending them down depressing rabbit holes, encouraging incremental "bad" behavior and shame and other emotions designed to get them to a point of action.

I dotn see how with all the surveillance out there on the internet we don't have an extremely narrow profile and process that will push a child into a school shooter relatively quickly. Adults too, tho adults are usually less malleable (brain plasticity and such).

Has anyone ever seen a publication describing the online activities prior to the event? How do we not know what these guys were listening to, reading, watching, engaging with, "liking", "ratio'ing", etc?

Is there a commonality in the preconditions or am I just a nonsensical conspiracy theorist looking for a boogyman?

Perhaps the response time and needed equipment would have been better at Uvalde if many Texas law enforcement personnel were not being deployed to the border over the past year. As I understand it was a special tactical border patrol group that came to Uvalde to respond and take out the threat.

You could make the argument that the response time would be worse if the tactical team wasn't there working the border.

This many before the midterms? My Spidey sense is tingling. We know how many young males the IC's/FBI "radicalize" online. Something feels off about this frequency and timing?
