Gas stations in Washington state are resetting their price boards to accommodate double digits in preparation for fuel prices potentially reaching $10 a gallon, according to a report.

The move comes as several gas stations in the Evergreen State ran out of fuel, the Post Millennial reported.
At the 76 gas station in Auburn, about 30 miles south of Seattle, gas pumps were reprogrammed so the display could indicate a price of at least $10 a gallon.
The displays were limited to single digits as recently as March, but the surging price of gas has led to the change.

I bet the vast majority of the 81 million people that voted for this either use public transportation or don't drive…because they're dead.

If they pass the new bill to limit what oil companies can profit, there will be no more gas to buy. **** is about to get real in this country

I spent a year taking classes at Lamar in Beaumont. Classmate that commuted daily from Houston, wife and kids, made homemade bio diesel from used fryer oil.

Washington as a whole is mostly red. King (Seattle), Pierce (Tacoma), Snohomish, Clark (Vancouver) counties, along with the city of Olympia (which is so far left that people from Berkeley look at it sideways) do to Washington what Chicago and NYC do to their respective states.

East of the Cascades, it's like Texas, just colder.and not humid.

Fun fact: until TX went permitless carry, it was easier to get a concealed carry permit in WA than in TX. Just go to your hometown PD, or the sheriff's office anywhere in the state, get fingerprinted, pass a background check, pay your fee, and that's it. No training required. And open carry didn't require a permit at all.

I did two stints at Fort Lewis when I was in the Army. Even participated in a disaster exercise built around that scenario

The Cascadia Subduction Zone is due to let go any time. Normal period between major quakes is 200-500 years. The last one was January 26, 1700 (tracked from tsunami records in Japan), estimated at 9.0 on the Richter scale.

IIRC, it was the topic of the very first episode of the show "Megadisasters." It's probably the most likely major natural disaster to hit the lower 48 this century. Or maybe New Madrid

Megadisasters is where I really learned about Cascadia.

I was aware of it, but didn't really know about the size and the ability for it to seriously affect the US economy, not to mention the lives of Seattle citizens.

The good thing is if, and when, it goes, we can blame racism and Trump. Everything will be fine.

If you ignore the Post headline (which is nearly always based on misleading half-truths), and read the article, you'll see the station sells racing fuel for use at a nearby racetrack. Premium, high-octane, not-for-street-use racing fuel.
