Wings are a ripoff, boneless (aka chicken nuggets) are where it is at. Yeah I said it

I don't like getting my fingers messy, so I use a knife and fork on wings.

This must be a hilarious sight.
Let's go, Brandon!

Lots of ways to get Avian Flu, aka Covid for chickens.
If you think I am a liberal, you are incorrect. Assume sarcasm on my part. Sorry if something I post has already been posted. Just the way it is!!

Gotta buy the whole chicken. All the suspect chickens get parted out- only throwing the yuk diseased parts away to pass inspection.

Buying bulk helps WIndstop..... I saw $4.29/lb at Kroger in Dallas. the little guy loses in the end.

As does vertical integration.

The bigger issue is that people found out how much better chicken thighs are when wings and breast meat became expensive.
I know.

And it makes me so, so sad.

Grilled chicken thighs are on the menu every week at the Buster household. I used to be able to find them for between $0.79 and $0.99 per pound.

More likely to see them at $2 / lb now.

I can still buy a 10lb bag of chicken quarters for 5 bucks at HEB. I have to "process" the meat myself, but it typically yields 10 legs, and 10 thighs which I debone and grill to make tacos one night and chicken pasta the next. I put the thigh skin and bones into my instant pot and make chicken broth for soup. I grill the legs for another meal. So for about 5 bucks I have made protein for 4 meals.

All that to say, you are paying too much for processing you can do yourself in 10 minutes.

The same goes for all other "shortages" of food (minus baby formula). If you put minimal work in, you will not be impacted by this.....yet.

Don't have to get messy if you just stick it in your mouth and suck the meat off. May not look pretty for you, but it works.
