I'd never, ever knowingly live or frequent a place that has them.
Lolpoors? Who get falsely accused of breaking into a neighborhood house and have to spend a night or two in jail? Not my problem.Tanya 93 said:

I'm against all government surveillance without a warrant. But private citizens can do what they want.
It seems that everyone has doorbell cameras now. If private property owners want to get together and add a few more cameras on their shared property I have no issues with it.

I suspect that after a burglary or car break-in that data is provided to local police. But I agree, I wouldn't want the police or other government entities having unfettered access.mm98 said:lb3 said:

I share this thought. So long as it is not made available to government, I'm generally okay with it.

As far as the "Big Brother" comments, I'm very anti big government or government surveillance.
Security cameras in neighborhoods that are voted on by members of the HOA is not Big Brother.

Let's say a professional has a home office for their counseling business. Maybe for something deeply personal, like survivors of suicide.
How should the patients feel, knowing they are being identified by anonymous third parties?
Incorrect. Corporations who manage these systems are big brother. The government outsources it's monitoring and data collection to said corporations.Stupe said:
