Hi TexAgs! I thought this article by Isaiah Mitchell with The Texan would be a great one to highlight since inappropriate content in our school libraries is at the forefront of so many parents', grandparents', and tax-paying citizens' minds right now.

This has become such a hot topic because parents are now seeing what a years-long push to have "inclusive" books on the shelves of our school libraries has resulted in. Many of these "inclusive" books describe explicit sex acts and sexual lifestyles that parents find inappropriate reading material for the age of their children. Many are horrified that some are also on recommended reading lists for their child.
But what can a parent do? How do these books get into our libraries? What has been the response of other school districts dealing with this?
Within the article below, Isaiah explains what one state lawmaker did regarding this issue, the review process that is happening at Granbury ISD, and the frustrations citizens in that school district both for and against these books are voicing, all the while informing us how the process works and what we can do in response on this issue.
I think this is such an important topic for all Texas citizens to be informed on. I hope y'all agree.
