People focus on race but the truth is it's about culture and not the color of your skin.

Some cultures will never compliment each other and eventually will destroy a civilization.

Not surprised. Only surprise is how long it took them to admit it publicly.

Admit large numbers of violent people who don't share your same moral structure and you're asking for chaos. Although there's exceptions, these people look at kindness as weakness, and they will exploit it for their own benefit when possible.

You may be able to get people from such dissimilar cultures to assimilate, but only in small numbers over long periods of time.

They should look on the bright side - if Russia invades, they have plenty of suicide bombers ready to go.

The concept of "integration" isn't a problem. The forced integration of a wildly different culture over such a short time-frame, is.

Also, if the incoming culture doesn't think about basic human rights in the same general way the West does, it's never going to work. It's just incompatible. It's a pretty low bar but if you can't clear it, it's always going to end this way.

I can't imagine why a country that is one of the least religious in the world can't mix well bringing in huge amounts of very religious migrants who consider the natives infidels. Strange.

Not only that but can you imagine growing up in a culture where if a woman showed any part of her body in public she would be stoned to death and then being shipped to a country where 6 foot leggy blondes are walking around everywhere in short shorts.

It was always a recipe for disaster and couple it with a hyper PC culture where nobody complains for fear of being called a racist this was inevitable.

100%, there are business interests at play here.

But Europe is different: progressives want to save the poor/brown people and turn them into good liberals.

These people were around in the 1800s as well. Dickens made fun of them with the character of Mrs Jellyby, a "telescopic philanthropist" who is far more concerned with saving people on the other side of the globe than people in her own neighborhood.

Step 1) Overturn Roe v Wade and end 60M+ deaths
Step 2) Stop coddling people who don't work.

Problem solved.

You have a post-religious, wealthy, welfare state that values its own traditions and history trying to find middle ground with a hyper religious, poor, welfare needing demographic that does not care for your traditions or history, and has their own. Whose religion demands that you hit majority population and then install sharia law. There is no compromise and there will be no assimilation.

Sweden's going to eventually be pressured to take a hardline stance, deny their visas, and then deport them.
