The normal functioning human brain is under astonishing levels of continuous development and growth beginning around week 2. Define the beginning pregnancy. Define functional brain. Define thought. These matters must be specific.

Do you believe a pregnancy, a baby, forming and growing inside a woman's womb is a medical condition? A side effect of sex? A condition to be treated like say gonorrhea or chlamydia?
---OR---
Do you believe that a baby, forming and growing inside a woman's womb is a gift from God himself and that woman has been endowed by her creator the privilege and responsibility to care for that baby?

Root cause:

we are a consumer society and everything is disposable. From frivolous crap to human life. We continue to erode personal responsibility for instant gratification. I don't understand how you can just classify a baby as something that can't think, therefore it requires no consideration.

We make choices every moment of our lives, and each choice has consequences. Own your choices and live with the results of those choices. Don't kill a baby because you weren't ready for one, or it may alter the trajectory of YOUR life, because the abortion will alter the trajectory of the baby's life, irreversibly.
