I can remember my mom dropping off me and my younger brother when we were 9 and 11 for a day of fun at Astroworld while she went to work. In the summer time, we had season passes and went once a week. It was our reward for taking care of all of our chores. It was awesome. Too bad the "bad element" took over the park years later.

I feel ya

I was glad to see some people with good sense or self control staying away from whatever it was or getting out of the area. Not everyone is an impulsive miscreant or compulsively attracted to be a part of idiocy or a narcissistic attention seeker in the days of social media.

I also note most of the initial attacks appeared to be launched on someone who was already down. Pretty weak and cowardly.

We were never dropped off at a Six Flags park, but we got dropped off at the Bryan Aquatics Center when we were kids; mom would come home for lunch and take us, then pick us up at 5 pm. We didn't do anything to get in trouble, and my siblings were quick to tell mom if one of us got a whistle blown at us.

Crazy how times have changed.

Parks Mall is an interactive zoo. Unless you absolutely have no choice but to work there, there's no reason to go.
