After she closed down roadways for race events that were planned due to Covid I don't think she should be allowed to go outdoors without a mask and not participate in outdoor sports until her ridiculous color warning chart is in the trash.

saying that a public figure having healthy extracurriculars is not a good/smart line of attack in politics.

her policies are awful. she probably committed some forms of fraud with her friends on the covid messaging. i hope she gets smoked in November. but going after her for competing in a triathlon is asinine, much like going after Trump for golfing.

This was actually a half Ironman so she didn't do a full one. A full Ironman would require extensive training for someone like her. To the point that she would be neglecting her job. Not that she isn't already.

And I would not attempt a half so, yes, it's still impressive. I'm just not built for it.

I haven't done triathlons in awhile but 70.3 wouldn't be an Ironman right? Wouldn't this be a sprint or 1.4 Ironman or am I misunderstanding?

Hidalgo (possibly with advice from the Democrat Party) is carefully crafting her image. Humanizing her and setting her up for something bigger.

You mentioned others being communists but they tended to be the ones who believed you could only have a single focus in life which you seem to believe Dora is only allowed to suck at being the County Judge instead of also participating in a half-triathlon and calling it a full one.

Lina Goes Swimming

My little girl loves that story. We read the whole series: Lina Gets Her Hair Cut, Lina Gets Scared, Lina Goes to the Potty.

Surprised she doesn't make some idiotic statement about it being ironMAN and that it should be gender neutral/inclusive.

Doing a half IM is no joke, so she's training way more than most people who hold important jobs are able to do. Minimum 15-20 hours per week training.

However I don't think she's married or has a family- that definitely helps and makes it possible.

Maybe she can crash private funeral events too in her spare time.

I'm a Professional TexAgs Poster. If I'm not posting, I'm either running, drinking beer or heading to the store to buy more beer.

As was pointed out, 70.3 is a half Ironman. It's still impressive, but not the same animal as a full Ironman.

I'd be much more impressed if she did the whole event in an N-95 mask.
