It's surprising for me to see all of this Russian propaganda on this board. Statements like:
1) The U.S. planned this war, and we are at fault for it.
2) Zelensky is an illegitimate president, and actually a very bad person.
3) Ukraine is full of Nazi's
4) Ukraine has been persecuting Russians for generations, and this really is just a liberation
5) Supporting the Ukrainian people is somehow supporting the Biden administration
The number of people posting this stuff is quite surprising to me. Are these all the Qanon folks moving on to something else? Is there a reddit somewhere that is provoking this stuff?
It is baffling to me.
As a person who has loved ones sheltered in Kiev right now....... I will respond to your B.S. post here on each of your accusations ---
1)
The U.S. planned this war, and we are at fault for it. - NO. I do not believe this and have not asserted it. I do assert that the US, across several administrations between 1994 and today missed several opportunities to draw Russia into the international community. It is factual that Russia made overtures about joining NATO, only to be rebuffed by both the Clinton and W.Bush administrations.
2)
Zelensky is an illegitimate president, and actually a very bad person. - NO. I do not assert his illegitimacy at all.... but I question a CIA/EU/NATO backed coup in 2014 that lead to all of this. That created a Ukrainian administration and bureaucracy that clearly did NOT clean up corruption..... as indicated by Biden family corruption within it. The Ukrainian government has actively worked with Left wing pressure groups to HURT Trump and populist Republicans here at home. That raises yellow flags about if Zelensky can be trusted or not. Zelensky created RED flags when he banned Ukrainian media not approved by his government AND banned the minority opposition parties a few weeks ago. That is totalitarian behavior.
3)
Ukraine is full of Nazi's - NO. My friends there are not Nazis nor are the overwhelming majority of the Ukrainian people. But they have told me for years about the Azov extremism and the Nazi influence in the East of Ukraine. The fact that Russian propaganda hammers on this does not undermine the reality of this being a problem for Ukraine.
4)
Ukraine has been persecuting Russians for generations, and this really is just a liberation - The New York times even acknowledged that this WAS going on in their articles about the Azov battalion in previous years. There is a reality that there WERE and ARE elements within Ukraine and often tied to the Ukrainian government that persecuted the Russian minority in East Ukraine. Does this justify a Russian invasion of Ukraine? NO. Russia is still WRONG.
5)
Supporting the Ukrainian people is somehow supporting the Biden administration - I do not support the
Biden Brandon administration at all. AND I support the Ukrainian people to resist and throw out the Russians. At the same time, I see NATO and EU member states (particularly Germany) who are, in the long term, planning on capitalizing economically on Ukraine at the expense of true Ukrainian independence.....enslaving them to nefarious agendas of the WEF, Soros/Schwab, and the EU. At the same time, I oppose the exporting of our decisively anti-God, anti-Family woke left culture into what is a socially conservative culture in Ukraine. Unfortunately, Zelensky seems aligned to 'allies' who, in the long term, do not have the long term interest of Ukrainians in mind.
