I totally agree.

I live here in the New Orleans area and it's bad. We've had 90 car jackings already this year and the overwhelming majority are by teens. Teens are killing each other and others every week. Schools are continuously having to do memorials.

The DA in New Orleans is just now trying to get is act together after running as an "reform" DA…. He's been letting most people off and not charging people and the citizens are about ready to skewer him. Multiple repeat offenders that aren't charged.

What's sad is that Orleans Parish just elected a new "reform" Sheriff and one of her first comments is that "we can't arrest our way out of crime". While I understand that there are social issues at play that lead to crime and need to be addressed, her only job as sheriff is to protect the lawful and arrest the criminal, so I'm not sure how she plans to do her job.

Everything happening there is a direct result of the people who have been elected by the majority of idiots. The sad thing, none of this will change their voting behavior and that city will continue on a death spiral.

Dems soft on crime. Just look at Missouri and attorney general looking the other way on crime in her state. Awful. The office was bought by Soros. Citizens need to wake up and recall these horrible AGs.

Back to the topic, though, a hate crime is defined by motive. I'm sure we all know this. It may very well be found that this was a targeted attack according to race, but the excerpt of the original post did not make that clear.

I agree with all of your points. We shouldn't be branding whites, or anyone else with such a prejudicial broad brush. I thought we'd learned in the last century to stop judging and classifying people based on skin color. I don't think it should be done for ANY group which was my real point.

Yet, here we are again, but with a different group being vilified. The idea that only whites can be racist is just wrong on it's face. CRT and constant shouting of "RACISM!" is also wrong, and just lazy.

And by the way, I'm 67 years old, so no, I'm not new. ;-)
