My area they're all trying to hang with 87 unleaded at 3.99 and not jump over that 4+ threshold but diesel I've seen anywhere from 4.79 to 5.29 already.

Strangely, there aren't actually any closed pumps due to an actual fuel shortage, so it's purely futures driven off the projected price of oil due to projected possible supply issues.

I yelled out at the Holiday Gas Station at HWY 62 and 101 in Eden Prairie, MN while filling up last night among several cars doing the same:

"YOU GET WHAT YOU VOTE FOR MINNESOTA!"

Angry liberal woman getting gas shakes her head and calls me 'Trumpoid'.

That was quite presumptive of her! Her guilty conscience activated I guess!

Years ago I was in Florida and I pulled into a gas station. I went to get the pump and it said $6.99 a gallon. I went in and asked if that was correct, and the dude behind the counter said yes. Got in my car and drove a block away to a station charging less than $2. Come to find out that station is right next to a hotel with a lot of international visitors. They charge insanely high prices on everything, and people pay because they don't know any better.

The issue was the concentration of oil production and refining capacity among the Gulf coast.

We STILL need refining capacity and oil production expanded geographically across the country and need to ignore the environmentalist mob that is keeping our energy production limited.

Summer 2008 I was stationed in Washington state. It was about $55 to fill up my 12 gallon Toyota Corolla. Not quite the worst I've seen myself here in Texas but we're getting close. Pump already shuts off before I can fill my truck. Kinda wish I still had the Corolla

Keep in mind these are the same mental giants that put a comedian (literally) in the US Senate. I have always wondered if there's something in their water in that state......or a lot of radiation or something.

So much excitement that our management has decided next week is a GREAT time to RTO after 2 years WFH.

I mean, these idiots couldn't have timed it better. I hope they get lit up with complaints. We've already blown our manager up. But there's nothing he can do about it other than tell his manager "I'm hearing lots of complaints."

It's pushing $5 for regular unleaded in Eugene. OR

I wonder if I could save a few pennies by actually being allowed to pump my own gas?

It still bugs me that the attendants at some stations have tip jars,, as if they they deserve extra for doing an action that I am not allowed to do myself.

I hope that place blows away in the next hurricane. That's not capitalism. That's taking advantage of people.

I drove an '85 Pontiac land yacht in HS and remember paying $75+ to fill up. For someone making $5.75 an hour it was mind blowing.

I remember gas in the late seventies around $1.30 per gallon. I think I was making $6 or $7 dollars per hour and going to school.

In fitting with being old...I remember "working" with my Grandfather at his gas station and it was $0.33/gallon.

I don't discount it.

But decades of let wing environmental restriction predominantly in Democrat controlled states exacerbated and helped cause that situation.
